As for Cornelia, she's best tank and gets her 2AW soon, so definitely worth raising, but I never really invested into tanks personally

In early game I just deployed whatever long range/untargetable ranged attackers I had and cheesed shit. Recently I switched to spamming true damage tokens, or deploying a youkai team with huge stats. That said, I never cleared lv10+ majin maps so maybe my approach isn't the best

Well, the main problem at the moment is that there's nothing to do aside from leveling your girls and doing dailies. They had planned a new years event but had to postpone it to the 10th of January due to some major bug they found.

Aside from that, I don't see any reason for the game to perform bad. While the combat / skill alignment system is kinda meh, everything else top-notch quality and I've really enjoyed the main and event story so far.

Currently I'm enjoying Pocket Fantasy. I played on the GooglePlay version on server 6. The girls are cute, the gameplay is neat enough, and it's a decent way to burn time, but it won't suck you in all day.

Recently Nutaku released their own mobile version, and I switched to their 4th server, Aezyera. It's pretty much the same, except it feels a bit faster paced, less grinding, higher rewards, and some H loading screens. Overall I'm enjoying it.

They do, anything involving large pests (and aqua shadows etc.) is fair game for these abilities in their post-buff condition.

Both, the midboss on the first node has a 3-target attack so multiple dodgers are helpful. They also help in rescuing the situation when the single-target boss in the second node gets lucky with its skill.

It's good in swan boat, but I'd easily take barrier over it. What usually happens in other high-end maps is that you revive and fall again right afterwards, not even reviving a dodge rainbow helps in the last Sakura/Ume stage due to the dodge-piercing ability introduced there (debuff parties are the real way to cheese that out). Easter Cactus does have a funny interaction with party wipes, though: Bosses immediately end their turn when this happens, even if they had remaining attacks, allowing her to revive and get some more damage in.

I was hoping that they would give it to Tree-of-a-Thousand-Stars too, due to the phoenix theme, but she ended up getting dodge instead. 2ch also had some speculation about it being given to plants with resurrection and immortality as their flower meanings, but 6* Ivy got her blooming before that ability was implemented. Wonder who will actually get it next.

For the record, my argument for this is that Ryu covers Hearing, Ambush and Propaganda by herself easing much of the weight on your soul.
By contrast Cthulhu offers charm (unreliable), charge drain (no "strict" timer, but also not good for autobattles) and her current -20% AoE C-frame defense down.
Atalante is another water hime that will have this debuff frame, at a lower 12% but since the debuffs cap at 50%, it shouldn't really matter, plus she's free, and the rest of her kit isn't too bad either.

Down the line, you're gonna need more AoE, magic damage and CC. Witches, mages, princesses, etc. Level up your Sarah and Nanaly, they will carry you for a while. You will eventually need melee units that either tank or clean up waves. Rogues, Bandits, Princesses, Valkyrie for decent single tanking units. Fallen Angel, Monk, Samurai, Pegasus Knights for wave clear.

Since you're pretty much set for event content as long as you keep levelling what you have, I'll just recommend what you want for majin shit that's relatively low investment to obtain:
-Leona from the trading post, has a great skill and rearguard passive CD reduction is very useful
-more ramp, Amy or Liseolette would be a decent free choice while Totono or Altair would be ideal but not as easy to obtain. Pegasus riders are situationally extremely good as well, Liddy SAW is amazing if you can get her.

My call would be Blanche, Christmas Berenice, (optionally) Totono and the blacks.

Blanche is probably the best unit to focus on, she has an all-around stellar kit: better AW2 path, boost to dogs, attack-increasing skill, paralysis if you want it. Christmas Berenice is also great thanks to her defense-increasing token and a SAW that is very relevant to tanking endgame bosses, but she requires some investment that is better placed on DPS units for now. Also consider AW on Clarice, she has a good SAW and more damage on her horrendously broken tokens is never a bad thing.

As for your other lower-level units; Totono is one of the best ramps in the game (Diera might be enough to meet your UP needs, but then again, you have some high-cost units), Junon is worth raising for her passive alone but also contributes assassination and consistent low-cost damage in maps such as Phenex, Lyla has a bursty melee AoE for her SAW but isn't really necessary with Itsuki and Kibahime around (oni are basically two bandits duct taped together), Katina is cute but easily outcompeted by the gold bowrider Margeret, and Erenia is a competent duelist that stands out thanks to her high stats and paralysis immunity, though you already have high-cost stat piles in your oni. Lepuru has a fun gimmick too, but she can do her job well enough at level 10, so you don't have to raise her.

Your blacks are also among the best for their niches, but I guess raising them goes without saying.

She has 4 golems with double defense, that still cost 40 UP apiece. and that's pretty much it. There were some major expectations from a black enchanter (infinite enchant, true damage enchant, golem healing, first golem that doesn't take deploy slot...) but she didn't fulfill any of them.

She's not unusable, she can be a pretty good support for the likes of Rion, Nanaly and Margeret... if you also have some MR cutters, some area healing to keep her patched, maybe some serious ramping mojo to fuel these golems, and the space to deploy both Anri and a dancer. Make sure she delivers the finishing blow to a majin as well, preferably while blindfolded and singing the Hedgehog Song.

The upside is that she will be buffed to hell and back, because Dev Tea doesn't like to leave sub-par blacks. But as she is now, she is nothing to get excited about.

As for Koharu, her 50% attack/defense reduction is no joke, but her mechanics are so clunky that nobody wants to optimize her use if they can help it (being the latest in the line of increasingly contrived youkai-only classes doesn't help her case). If they ever release an event nekomata without completely gimping it, the class could create some fancy event-only majin tactics.

It's hard to judge princesses as a class because princesses don't really have a unified identity. Her first skill is probably better - at least I plan to test it first when I get to levelling her. She can fill the niche of nullifying all damage sources regardless of physical or magical source during her skill, since Sarah/Olivie can only dodge physical. It's 90% but that's good enough to be called guaranteed in most cases. If it only nullified true damage as well, she'd make Kimaris a joke, but I've unfortunately heard otherwise.

Her second skill joins the collection of "big all-rounder statstick black that does nothing particularly special" like the previously metioned Angeline, as well as Tifa. Probably good for someone who's starting out, as I remember Grace (also a big statstick) carried me hard before I became a disgusting whale, but not as much for someone with a ton of broken units that fulfill specific roles extremely well.

She's not meant for early rushes. Use her to take out a bunch of fairly strong enemies by herself as she has fairly high stats. She doesn't even need healing support with her nullification so you can more or less drop her anywhere as a nuke to deal with whatever is coming even if it's out of the way of where you're setting your units up.

You aren't supposed to be deploying her first, she's not comparable in role to a soldier at all.

You don't need gacha blacks to deal with rushes. In fact, most gacha blacks are unsuited for anti-rush.

Just level up your lower cost soldiers and archers. As you hold off the initial wave you'll get enough sortie to put out mages and HAs if it's a map purely consisting of shitter units rushing at you en-masse. Even silver mage/HAs will do in this case. Samurais, mage armors, and other AoE melee blockers are also decent at this stage.

Eldora is not meant to take on weak units, you're supposed to deploy her against dangerous enemies that you may not want to be tanking traditionally. With her skill she should be able to handle two dangerous enemies at once while an ordinary HA might get overwhelmed, for example.

Some code units (like Lindernia and Sinclairiana) have maxed skill/slots by default, but the LN girls unfortunately come with their base values. Also note that they are useless for actual combat even when maxed out, so it isn't worth doing that in any case.

Limited-time code girls (Galium, Rhodanthe, Torenia and Rue Anemone) were also made available for free players after their events passed, with skill and slot flowers being obtainable from garden flowerpots, but LN girls are unlikely to receive this treatment since their books are generally in stock.

That's true, but plenty of event girls with higher stat totals exist (the first few event units have gacha-tier statlines and permanent revivals, Craspedia and Native Bryony stand out from the more recent girls). Many of the serial code girls have low stats even by event gold standards.

And well, given the cost of maxing them out, you would get much better mileage (and some spare change) by taking a rainbow deal for the price of maxing two. I like many of the code girls, but I don't think there's a min-maxing justification for using them.

Well-balanced, if somewhat underpowered unit that can do AoE true damage with enough DPS to match some single-target ranged classes, can double/triple her damage output if you have some UP and unit slots to spare, can cover half the map with her tokens, becomes an extra token (also with AoE true damage) at SAW, can facetank golems for hours with complete impunity, and does all of this at 7 cost base + 6 per token.

As you can see, she not a very strong unit. Her entire class is pretty awful, in fact, and she's the worst of the bunch.

What I like the best about mage Prince is that, even without a rearguard, every majin stage is timed just so that you can call down the thunder on the initial rush and the final rush. Phenex is even kind enough to let you fry everyone before it transforms into its second form (and activates the instant regeneration that would null Prince's damage).

Barbatos is a killjoy with the range cut, though, and we don't know what this maintenance's Glasya-Labolas will have for a gimmick. Watch them give it 50% dodge because it's part griffin.
