How do you get rid of bad 2hu images if you have over 40k of it? How do you deal with it, /jp/? This is going to take months to clean up.

I only saved things that were average quality or better to begin with. I did recently organize everything into three chunks based on the time periods the images were saved during, which made it easier to find stuff.

Yeah, I broke it up into 3 multi-year chunks, sorted by date. Roughly pre-early /jp/, golden age and whatever we're in now. Each is only a few hundred pics, way easier to find stuff.

I was trying to sync my folders between devices and one of the transfer operations basically fucked up the date of the photos so now I can't rely on the temporal-spatial knowledge I built up over years of saving those 3000 images. Reaction image lookup time increased tenfold. Ever since then I gave each photo I saved a descriptive name to speed up lookups. Pic related.

That has almost nothing to do with the OP so to suggest a solution perhaps take it easy? Just a few hundred photos a day won't be that taxing, I'm assuming you're a NEET to have that many photos saved already.

I have two questions.

1st, why the fuck do you fucking have 40k 2hu images? Do you have that many lewds?
2nd, do you even have standards? I would understand if someone that happens to have a 2hu as a waifu or favorite best girl would have a fuckton of shitty pictures because of love/like, if not then where the fuck are your standards?

What was your scheme? I discovered too late that it's unwise to have a big folder shared by all devices, where each device has a copy of that folder and what happens in one propagates throughout the network. It's usually the push operations that cause the most trouble. Better to just have your devices pulling from each paired device into a folder they reserved specially for that device. No collisions, no conflict.

>> No.18124040

Just go through and immediately delete anything that's not amazing. Touhou has so much fantastic fanart that there's really no reason to keep anything that doesn't instantly strike you as stellar.

I have folders for most of the stuff, but the main area which it was kept became fucked up order-wise. I need to organize some (a lot) stuff now, but that's pointless.

I planned on just saving in bulk and move it to the toaster every few months to prevent an idiotic loss since I didn't feel like sitting all day when I don't have a comfy NEET recliner to laze in. After a while, I just left posting to this device, and the toaster for other tasks since i can move more freely.

As for the time fuckery, I noticed it when images started becoming either corrupt, blanked out, or oddly misplaced. It took me a small bit of time to notice it had been syncing images with an old device that hadn't been used in who knows how long, so I went around to fix that small issue, seeing as the folder was inaccessible a few times.

I deleted a large chunk of the images, so I can only hope that none of them were too important since I no longer know what they were of.
After a few adjustments, it seems now the only I may have to worry about now is just the network connection, renaming a fuck ton of images uniquely, getting rid of dupes, and relying on the storage whatnot that is wasted in keeping these images afloat.

I have done this many times and now I don't let myself get over 10,000.
You can:
Delete it all
Delete all past a certain date or filesize
Sift through every image and pass judgement
I have done all of the above, but if you have a few hours then I would go for the third option.

So long as you have an easily accessable way to go to the next image and trash an image the rest is up to your responsive decision-making ability. You need to get a feeling about what you like or dislike about an image in around 1 second, and then act on that. You are probably thinking too hard about certain things.

You don't. You don't have to get rid of images, all you need is intelligent search tool. Just hoard your images for several years and endure until mainstream ai technology will be good enough.
