Chaos;Head was pretty mediocre at best, the beginning was okay but it quickly went downhill. No routes even though they're throwing heroines at you, the game's writing turning to crap in the second half. This all might have been okay, if it wasn't for the fact that not only was there nearly no character development for most of the cast, the endings were unfulfilling as well. I wouldn't even call it three endings, there were two of them. The third ending was just one of the other endings with a small epilogue tacked on half-assedly. And they were all fucking terrible as well. The entire final chapter is a good example of how to turn an average game into a bad game.

That's a dumb reason. Not every visual novel needs to have routes.

Being able to manipulate what a person sees isn't far off from reality. So if the reason you disliked it because it's too far-fetched, then it isn't.

When I think of character development, I don't just think of how a character changes throughout the story. I think of how well you know the character. Developing a personality and background are equally important. The characters are good personalities, their background is light and Takumi is really the only character that 'changes' because he's the one that needed to change.

They were a bit weak but I don't think they were anywhere bad enough to list it as a big fault with the game. Visual novels and anime rarely have satisifying endings

Putting all the bullshit troll accusation aside, I personally find that this Anon brought up some good points. Although I can understand why a lot of people say Chaos;head sucks (I also felt a bit of disappointment and had the impression that some potentially good things were rather cut short), I also feel that this downside is over-emphasized on by many people. I feel the game wouldn't be the same if it had routes to it, since it all comes down to whether Takumi stops Noah II or not. I also feel that most, if not all, of the characters had their background story presented reasonably well, and had played a part in the overall story (except maybe Yua, who really didn't need a di-sword). Anyways, that's my opinion, inB4 being a troll.
