Nothing wrong with a still image; almost all the past OP posts were still images.
Nothing wrong with not-lunatic; probably less than a third of the threadgoers play at the lunatic level.
It's a related image, the subject's right, and there's a link to the last thread. I'd say OP did his job just fine. Nobody cares about the OP image anyway.

Clearly I do. I'm just saying that if you're going to continue making this a regular thing, you could at least pretend that you care. Just going on like you are now implies that you're just making these threads for the sake of having a general, and at that point you may as well post in the /vg/ thread.

I don't think you can consider it cheating when everyone, even the fabled Japanese superplayers of legend, uses it. The irony is not lost on me but it's pretty weak irony considering how easy it is to not abuse the bug.

>>17733356
Just don't shoot the boss unfocused at 3 power, simple. No real reason to do that either outside of glitch abuse. I don't recommend using the vpatch fix because that's just gonna make your replay desync if played back on a non-fixed copy. The real pro-tip of course is to play ReimuB, since MarisaB is just a weaker, fatter ReimuB outside of the glitch. Kinda pathetic, really, only 85% of ReimuB's damage output.

Literally how? I myself don't play without bombing and managed to get all of Hatate's scenes in 4 hours all in one go. I thought Vague Recollection of Kinkaku-ji would be the worst and even that took me only 4-5 tries. The only bad thing was Pearl of the Five-Clawed Dragon because of Hatate's short range shot. Surely No Item ISC might be a level slightly above Lunatic, but photo games are Hard at best.

I've been having trouble with that one as well. With Yukari, it seems like you just have to time it out, dodging to alternate sides then going up and around during that bit where she moves across the bottom. But with Patche, you might be able to use wood and metal shots to actually damage her down.

By which you mean, you used your bombs instead of dying all the time and made good progress? There's no point trying to be cool, use the bombs if you have them. It doesn't matter how much power you have for most of that fight anyway.

Don't give up, you will make it eventually. Funny thing, I have posted almost exactly the same thing some time in the past "wtf I hate sakuya now" it was I believe, heh
Just remember to not only practice stage 5, but to play the whole run, so that you won't mess up early stages too badly. Few things you have to do: Do not reset runs, go 'till you die, that way you will get most practice out of every run. Use the motherfucking bombs, even on stage one if needed. Realise that even wasting two bombs is better than risking losing a life, because if you do, then you lose the bombs you had, you just get the basic three for free. Calm down and focus, sometimes it's better not to move. Don't worry about lives lost at early stages, I still manage to die on stage one, even multiple times sometimes, that just happens, roll with it. I believe I missed on both stage one and two in my first 1cc
You will get better and you will finally make it, your first priority is to complete the game of course, but don't expect that you will win if you got to sixth stage. You most likely won't. Take your time, practice, try to find some paths, some ways of doing things. You will make it eventually

Sounds like you already know, but yeah, don't shoot the fairies that fill in after Cat's Walk or the ones that come from the side while the tanky orbs shoot big bullets from the center, unless you're in need of items and up for some extra dodging. You'll almost certainly spend most of your resources on stage 5 regardless, but everything up until then is pretty easy, so you can stock up a fair amount. Playing as Yukari, Satori only gets one tough spell, so you should be able to go into stage 5 with a decent amount of power as well.
You can't bombspam like in MoF, but of course it's still always better to bomb than to die, especially during bosses.

Post a live recording of 10 consecutive 10-7 runs and let's see some consistency. If you are some kind of WR player trying to start shit, it'd be a nice video to see, and if you're going to just going to find some excuse to get out of it, you'll have no ground to stand on. Win win.

There's plenty of instances of people complaining about much more trivial tasks without anyone jumping out and saying, "wow, you must be shit at the game!", but instead for some reason you decide to come out on people struggling on 10-7 and Spring Final, widely accepted to be difficult spells - and there's no refuting this no matter what you think of the people I quote who say this, because if they're all "nowhere near the skill level I make them out to be", then nobody is qualified to say a thing, except you, apparently. Why try so hard? Is this some experiment in posting scores without actually posting scores?

>You already entertained me enough
Have I? You and me both, anon. Allow me one last parting bit of entertainment.

Anon steps to the jury in court.
"I didn't murder him. The prosecution's a joke. Those forensic experts he brought in providing evidence of the contrary? Never heard of them. One of them's actually good but who even gathers evidence these days, am I right? My evidence? Bah, what need for that? I know I didn't do it, so I don't owe them a thing. Didn't even bring a lawyer! The prosecution's awful and they actually felt attacked when I called them on it! Can you believe it? Rest assured, jurors. I most certainly had no part in the murder. What an amusing farce they've concocted tonight; I've never been so thoroughly entertained."
Anon sits back down as he finishes his second attempt after getting through it all the first time but insisting on starting over all because he misspoke a little - he really wanted it to be perfect in presentation, if nothing else. Groans from the judge go unheard; something about an inappropriate closing statement? Wait, closing? Does that mean there was supposed to be an opening statement? Anon didn't mind; he never took law. The jurors arrived at a verdict. Anon smiles assuredly. Little did he know however, that the only person in the room he convinced tonight was himself.

Creative writing's not my thing. Probably as bad as my dodging! Excuse me while I go back to grinding both - mostly the latter.

>> No.17754000

>>17753856
Some people simply don't like shot power ever decreasing outside of death on principle. Aside from that, it can trap you in a death spiral, because each time you bomb, you're then less equipped to deal with what comes next without bombing, which can lead to more frequent bombing and then a quick death.
In MoF the system was kind of goofy because point items were so plentiful, you could bomb through lots of stage sections AND boss attacks essentially for free. In SA, there's the opposite and much less fun problem that point items are comparatively rare, plus there's a lower power cap, so it really feels like each bomb messes you up a lot more and requires a lot more effort to rebound from.
But I like them both anyway, and it's not like they make the games miserable even if you don't.

I don't dislike SA's bomb system, but it takes a lot to get used to. You lose power every time you bomb, so you get a spectrum from "you can bomb for free here because you'd get back the power you lost" to "if you bomb more than twice here it will kill your run and you will not beat the game."

To answer your question, while Kaguya's spells are all fairly tough, I think the rest of the game sets you up with enough resources that she doesn't seem so bad anyway. The average player is also very likely to clear 6B in far fewer tries than it takes them to clear 6A for the first time, creating the illusion that since Kaguya was faster to beat, she's easier. Not necessarily, my point is that most people will show up at Kaguya with a ton of lives and just bomb through everything, giving the feeling that she's easy, while in other games the stage 5 boss might use up enough resources that the same player actually has to try on the final boss, making it feel more difficult even if capturing the spells is actually easier. I'm running Windows 10, and I was unable to save replays on Subterranean Animism. In addition, if I attempted to save one, my score from that play session would also fail to be recorded, and after closing the program an error message would appear and the extra stage would lock itself again.
