I mean, you either use the Regular course system, where you pay the same amounts you would in an arcade, per course, which is outragous considering this is a PC version. Or, the Infinite course, which I can't see as anything but a bad joke. You pay 2000 Japandollars a month, and you don't even get to play all songs. You also don't earn currency, which prevents you from unlocking new shit in the first place.

As of right now I've just been sorting statistik 11s by normal clear difficulty and working on stuff lower than 11.4s. This has been fine for discovering easier songs but I can't get around that note density straight up fucks me, it's like my mind goes blank I really can't read it to save my life. Might play with my GN/WN to see if that can't help with parsing. I've been HC'ing most of the 10s I've played along with playing random after clears but so far I have not really had traction in density reading. Maybe it's just one of those things that one day clicks, I'm just trying to accelerate that.

I had a kaiden player a while back tell me my old 250/275 was pretty fast so I changed to 450/275... 2 months ago? It's been alright, I have some of my best scores with it. When I try to go slower my scores tank hard, not like my timing is that great to begin with. I mostly get low to mid As on 10s, and have only AA'd a few 9s. Sometimes I go with 500/275 just to slow things down for like scratch heavy songs.

It's worth mentioning that you shouldn't try too hard and get frustrated. Taking breaks can help. I've been stuck at a handful (6-ish) of early 12 clears for months. I took a break for a week and today, I just cleared The Sampling Paradise, Colors and Sakura Storm.

Started playing iidx around half a year back and I've been stuck around 7-8s for a long time and it's been getting to me, especially since all the discussion that I ever hear about the game revolve around 12s.

I've mostly been having trouble with denser charts and trying to figure out how the heck I'm supposed to hit them without straight up mashing. I know the solution is to just play more but sometimes it feels like I'm blinding hitting my head against the wall. Is it even normal to get stuck this 'early' in the game so to say?

I started with symmetrical but switched to 1048 around a month ago after watching youtube videos and realizing that just about everyone uses it. It didn't take me too long to get used to the style and I can already hit similar/better scores compared to before so I don't think it's the problem.

To expand on that I can clear most 7s barring the older ones and was able to clear one 9, but I still can't clear the majority of the 8s out there. All the 8s I've cleared so far seem to have less notes than average so I figured my main problem is dealing with the density and processing which notes I'm supposed to be hitting.

If 330 works for you, then don't fix what ain't broke. I personally use 290GN on SP and kick it up to around 304 on DP and cover around half the lane with Lift and Sudden+. I get worse scores on CS games because I'm so accustomed to lift.

Depends on what your goals are.

If you want an official experience at home e-amuse is your only* option. Payments require paseli, the entire libary is not supported. Performance varies on setups. The sound quality of the BGMs and effects is immensely superior.

Kshoot is free and gives you access to the converted sdvx library to date with exception of sdvx 4 which is a work in progress--though most popular sdvx 4 songs have there maximum difficulties added already. Kshoot input feels shoddy at times and definitely has quality issues with some tracks. You also don't deal with loading menus every song and the whole game every 3 songs.
