Nice, GGs. Even though I didn't win anything, I did learn a lot more than I would've in the same amount of time in Practice Mode. I did end up screwing up a lot of potential combos by accidentally rolling my joystick, leading to using Black Keys and that one move where Ciel teleports and does those rapid slashes. As well, I can't seem to pull off her second jump cancel in her air combo, and when I do, I miss the dash cancel.

Oh well, it was fun, I'll give you that. Thanks.

I don't really like using the Black Keys. I'd rather learn how to play Ciel properly than rely on spamming those. I'd rather learn proper mannerisms first. I did end up pulling off a few of those aerial combos, but due to my own dicking up of the inputs, I couldn't finish them. I'm still wrestling with my analog sensitivity, as I can't figure out how to turn it down.

If you're indeed a beginner, these are unnecessary. Especially on netplay. Especially against /jp/.

What you want to learn first is a solid BnB combo (even a really simple one, as long as you end it by an airthrow), basic blockstrings with staggers / delays, and spacing / zoning.

Then you'll be able to move on with mixups, the 5CC shield cancel BnB, clash frames, shields and all the relatively advanced stuff... But you won't need it here anyway.

Yes, but there's usually a "sweet spot" for timing of the jump cancel. Jump cancel is just a word for jumping after the attack hits. The reason it's called a jump "cancel" is because if, for example you use Nanaya's 2c 5c launcher and didn't push jump (or another move to cancel it) after the 5c, the whole 5c animation would go through, which is actually a lot of delay after the hit. You're technically canceling the move, because an attack is not over just because the attack hits. There's recovery frames afterwards, and you skip that by cancelling it into a jump.

The timing is all a matter of practice (and watching good players and mimicking the timing).

No, you can easily poke her with 2A if she does that too often. The more Warc lets 5B move her forward before cancelling it, the more she's left at frame disadvantage. The only character Warc would have "infinite" blockstrings against is, actually, Nero, precisely because you can lock him down with that 5A.

I don't like the feel of arcade sticks, plus there are no arcades in my area (that have anything other than REAL BUCK HUNTIN', DDR, and HOUSE OF THE DEAD HURR) so if the combo can connect on netplay vs certain opponents, that's their problem, not mine.

I've had people tech out of it a lot, forcing me to use another combo. Those who can't, don't hate me because you can't tech fast enough :/

Add a jump A before jump C and they'll stop bawwing, it'll become VALID OH MY GOD A VALID COMBO I DO NOT BELIEVE IT. It doesn't really make a difference anyway, just skip the second 2a if they're too far.
