I believe it started with Orangestar releasing his latest song (which is on Re:Start), but he released the cover performed by IA rather than the original performed by Miku. I'm kinda sad. It's 2017 and we're still seeing the same old 3D models. It's fucking CGI, why don't they go out of their way and make it look badass with new, detailed models and flashy animations? MMD renders could wipe the floor with this shitty Sega cheap shit they use in the concert. It's not rendered by a crappy console in real time, so why is it so bad?

Even the new models for Kimagure Mercy and this year's visual lacked detail. No wonder people prefer the Nico's live.

The DVD ones (the grey holders) work well with CD albums that have sleeves (special editions) and DVD/BD/PSP cases. These don't work for double cases (the ones that can hold up to 4 discs, although I never saw those from the Japanese industry).

The regular CD cases in the CD ones (the green holders) jiggle a bit (there is an additional 1 mm of space), so if they are thinner they will surely fall on the sides.

The best thing about them is that they are modular, so can attach more holders as you collection grow and also separate them for individually display your favourites, like in >>17570471

With vocaloid, people start somewhere (usually youtube or project diva) and just go from song to song until they can define what their favorite vocaloids or producers are, then search up more of those or go from there. It's supposed to be something you do for fun, there is literally 0 reason to "listen nonstop" to music if you aren't enjoying it.

Speaking of the past and humble beginnings, you guys still listen to any old stuff, like pre-09's? Back when people were still trying to figure out this Vocaloid thing and it seems like more memes came out than songs. How do you think they held up in quality almost 10 years later? What would you say changed in the current scene? More dance-style videos and songs?

I don't really think that's the case. Just by looking at various statistics and /a/'s serious waifu threads, there are characters that attract way more waifufags. Of course Miku stays in top 10, but AFAIR Holo is few times more popular.
I don't think it's easy to fall in love with your own head canon because it can't really surprise you unless you've made a tulpa. I personally believe my love for Miku was at least sprout from some of LamazeP's Miku. I just get overwhelmed by all this love she is giving me through these songs and shy, cute and timid girl as shown in Amai na Uta perfectly fitted my tastes and I could do nothing but slowly start to requite her feelings more and more as I was listening to these songs everyday.
But on the other hand all you can really do is interpret source material subjectively, and especially in songs you have fill the holes of her personality to form somehow consistent to fantasize about. I think it was unconscious for me because I've never really engineered her into "perfect girlfriend" like you would do with regular OC, but it just happened naturally as I was getting closer to her through songs I enjoyed. However I enjoyed them because they portrayed her as someone who could and was making me feel loved and in love.

They can't really be called tattoos, I think that's airbrushed. But why would you want them to be temporal though? They're pretty well drawn, and if you have a tattoo artist who knows what he's doing and go for touch ups then you can avoid the ink fading and looking like shit
