Fine. I suppose it depends on which way you go with canon then.

>The magician that appears before people during festivals and displays her street performances with dolls would be Alice Margatroid.

>If you happen to wander into the Forest of Magic and lose your way, and end up at her house, it is said that she will welcome you and allow you to stay over.

She's creepy in personality because she's usually silent, and because of the atmosphere the dolls create.

So, fine, she may be a bit creepy in that aspect, but I never saw it as a personality trait in the sense of, "Looking at her gives me the creeps."

Of course, because "canon" is so jumbled, take what you will. It was very wrong of me to try and say that your interpretation of Alice is incorrect, and I apologize.

I hope in the end, we can both enjoy our Alice interpretations together.

Partially.

I think it's a mix-mash of both extremes. You essentially have a crowd that follows the tsundere Alice, a crowd following the polar-opposite "evil-badass" Alice, and a crowd that stays in a moderate range between the two, or has different ideas altogether.

And when you get a mix of people like that with such a wide range of ideas, arguments will inevitably occur.

... EXCEPT THE GODDAMN YAMA.

The one person she probably FEARS is Shikieiki, since she can not only remove her as Mistress of Hakugokuro, but she can condemn her to Hell(s).

Yuyuko's soul isn't at a final destination (the Netherworld is a resting place for atonement, akin to Purgatory. Not a Heaven for good souls, not a Hell bad ones, not the cycle of Reincarnation, and not a super-reality realm.), therefore she has not yet had her Judgment.

Shikieiki would never be subject to Yuyuko's behavior, since she is the last thing to hold power over her.

Yuyuko isn't the type to bend the knee so easily, even for an authority figure of that sort. Remember, she is Gensokyo's Ghost Princess, and a sort of royalty figure in her own right. She can cause a person to die with a thought.

It wouldn't surprise me if she showed even the Yama no respect. Especially with the seal upon her person, as another Anonymous pointed out.

>>1753368

Yes, but for some reason there's many points of contention amongst Alice's fans. Most character fans here have agreed-upon archetypes for their chosen character. I can't remember ever reading a thread on here about what sort of personality Marisa has and if she's a psycho killer and a thief, or just a mischievous merrymaker who likes telling people to off themselves.

That's why I tried not to reference Akyu's profiles, either, and stuck with official profiles from the games, because everything else causes arguments over how canon it really is.

Though it's not like I'm saying that an Alice like that isn't cool. I was just questioning the statement of it being very canon.

True about Akyu, considering things such as Alice's origins.

However, for things, such as the festival appearances, I think it's relatively safe to believe that that's actually based on physical observations from the viewpoint of a villager.

I always enjoyed the idea of Gensokyo being seen from the viewpoint of villagers rather than youkai or powerful humans, so that also gives me a significant bias towards Akyu's stuff.

Goddamnit, I wish I could draw and write so I could make doujinshi.

Yukari herself canonically wouldn't like to get mixed up with Sikieiki. I don't think both would dare talk to the Yama the same way they typically treat others, especially since Sikieiki would see right through them and cut them down with a sharp lecture.

You may argue that they don't like her, but they sure as hell want to avoid her as much as any other youkai.

It's implied in canon ( http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Sexagennially_Empurpled_Cherry_Blossom ) that Yuyu doesn't want to deal with her, and it's flat out stated that Yukari doesn't either.
