Do you guys main any characters in particular? Aside from the challenges I generally use Sherry due to how chill her game-play style is, on the odd occasion Suguri due to how adorable her commentary is and Kae when playing aggressively. It'd be nice to see Iru added eventually though the game roster is already brilliant and its nice to see Fruitbat Factory/ Orange Juice pull so much content into a fairly niche game.

It would seem that there are few combinations as compelling as token adorableness and insanity. She's overall a good example of how the cast would benefit from being fleshed out in detail, though for a franchise primarily based on sh'mups I can live with it. The presence of the DLC was already spoiled on SteamDB some time ago, but what I find odd is that there's 7 achievements rather than the 6 we're used to for character packs.

It's seperate from them too, since the other 6 are labeled with A and B, but the 7th one has C. And it can't be a third character since it doesn't have an "online wins" stat added like the other two.

Sora is better than Sora (Sora) in my opinion. that revive with 2 hp is more of a curse than a bonus, and while awakening can be used as a battle card to fend off attackers, I prefer paying an extra 10 stars for a 6 instead with Sora.

They have some fun shot types, but beyond that there isn't really anything that makes it stand out in it's genre. It's not that they're bad or anything, but they're nowhere near as memorable as Suguri/Sora. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan, though.

learn to hold shots. No point firing if you don't have time to evade the incoming ammo. There is a shewed sense of time when rapidly firing and not pacing for sudden safe spots first. Learn to proactively evade your rainbow rings such that ammo passes into them, a extra meter for super absorbed is better than a few extra shots and no options when you need it.

You also want a side weapon with good spread to clear away live ammo like rockets, and thus makes paths to dodge into after (stage 3 boss, 101).

I downloaded FRB and now I've played it for a few hours so I can try to help.
1.Rockets are extremely important. each hit with a rocket increases your multiplayer, which increases the coins dropped from enemies allowing for more rockets and more score which is needed to get extra lives. 2 million score is needed for a certain ending.
2. stage 3 has 2 completely different routes depending on your position at the start of the level when you chat with Islay. If you are above Islay then you head left and face the punks and Lone Rider, if your underneath Islay then you head right to face trains and the Merchant.
3.If your just trying to clear the game then you can actually skip some phases of boss fights. I figured out that on Scientist on I think phase 3, if you shoot the center instead of the wings then boss dies, skipping 1-2 more phases.

I'm always up for new players in small communities like that, but I wish that they understood that it was originally about relaxing games with polite players, rather than the competitiveness of normal DotA and all the anger that comes with it.

I wouldn't blame it all on the newbies, though. People naturally got frustrated by certain characters after a "meta" had developed. After we found out which characters were good or not, people were so upset that they would even have unofficial "banned" 2hus, which would be enforced by a big fat abandon if they were picked (funnily enough, it would only be if they were on the other team). No man should ever be barred from playing his favorite 2hu.

Alte is probably the character with the highest "skill ceiling" in the game with the amount of attention you have to give. No jokes. When I say you have to pay lots of attention I do mean you really have to pay a fuckload of attention. Attack other characters early on, find out what cards they have. Use passionate research to not only get your hyper but see what cards people draw.
Whenever something happens to a character card-wise pay attention to that and think what the other person would discard/keep if you've been remembering their hand.
Playing Alte is not easy but if you keep track of everything, nothing is invisible to you.
Oh and Sealed Memories is also a good card for her.

You're wrong. I used to play the Japanese version (v1.0) with some random internet dudes with Hamachi (Can't remember if direct hosting also works).

In the version 1.0 you'll get a starting windows where you can place the IP and the port there. You can get the version 1.0 at Doujinstyle.
