Anyone has a slightest idea why only ch1 of v1 got translated? How about we spam the scanlator`s site with requests?

Also, since google failed me, is there a project for novel translations? I`ve read only the translated ch1 of manga and immidiately fell in love with this series.

That's not actually true, but that's what it feels like, since the animation of anything brings gigantic swarms of monstrous faggots that refuse to read into the fandom. I remember some of the minami-ke discussions on /a/ shortly after the anime started; "this manga has been popular here for years, why the hell have none of you heard of it before?" "Because manga sucks. I need COLOR and SOUND." (honest-to-god serious response someone gave me. On /a/. Like 8 months ago.)

I would say Haruhi and Clannad are special cases.

Purists read manga that have anime adaptations, especially if the anime turns out to either be subpar or left too much of the original story out. Haruhi and Clannad aren't really that special, they just happened to get much more popular than most other series which is majorly due to their anime. True, the Clannad VN project started even before the anime series was announced (the movie was already known by then), but I think knowing that an anime series was coming out made them work faster so they could release the patch not long after the anime ended, which they pretty much already have (unofficially at least).

Yes, there are people who will be like that and actually go back and read the original, but there is such a vast amount of "what's the point of reading it when I can just watch the show?" idiocy that floods the fanbase that it really makes it feel like it's not even worth it. Even when the show is subpar compared to the manga.

The only reason I called Haruhi and Clannad special is because they are so insanely popular, and yet they haven't been flooded like that; a fairly large portion of its fans have also become interested in the source. At least, as far as I have seen.
