-The Summer 2017 event has begun. It is a large scale 7-map "what if" operation taking place in the west. The event name is Break Through to the West Once More! European Relief Operation. The main operation is four maps, while the extra operation is three maps. The rewards are Hatakaze(E2 reward), Richelieu(E4 reward), Sagiri(former operation drop), Amagiri(former operation drop), Ark Royal (E7 reward)
-An Italian submarine that ended her career in Japan will also be added.
-Fumizuki Kai Ni has been implemented. Her level requirement is 77 and no blueprint. 2 new quests for the 22nd DesDiv has also been added.
-Naka has received hourly voice lines and has had her max ASW and AA stats increased.
-The maximum level possible has been increased from 155 to 165.
-The June ranking rewards have been distributed, of which 2 were the carrier operated Swordfish and Swordfish Mk.II (Skilled).
-New Yukata, Swimsuit, and Zuiun mode CGs have been added to the game for certain shipgirls.
-A Kai Ni for Saratoga is on stand-by. At least one BB and one CL will also get a second remodel.
-The 5th year of KanColle will see something "interesting" regarding foreign ships.
-New Akizuki and Matsu-class destroyers are under plans to be added.

There's semi-frequent sales on DMM points. Do yourself a favour and buy some slots. Even at their base price they're really not that expensive. At base price it's a handful of £ or less than 10 dollars. That's an hour of working at minimum wage.

As for whether Amatsukaze is worth keeping it's dependant on whether or not you have the room spare. She's cute and has a useful engine if you kai her but otherwise she's not particularly special.

That route has another condition if you don't have the european ships: you need 3DD. That said, the only RTA I've seen using that was Hyuu and he had a fast ship already, so there is no guarantee a slow BB would work outside of the EU fleet.

Note that it still took me a fucking while, and I never saw Prinz doing any special crit expect this one. Prior that, both Myoukou and Prinz couldn't deal more than 2 digit damage, even with every night gear buff, so I suspect there is nothing aside of the armor debuff gimmick.

It is Euro or 3DD routing (might factor fast fleet for the latter).
Boss debuff is definitely a thing: you need S (or A rank) in both C and D nodes. Once you are done, you get the quest clear SFX once you are back to the base.

The debuff is quite notable. I could barely damage the boss to taiha while still having trash alive. Once I debuffed the boss, the LBA always wreck 3/4 of the escort and my BB could crit her for 100-150 damage every time.

That's true. My problem with that is the dev claim regarding the drop rates. I won't claim they are outright lying, but the drop rate increase isn't enough to the point that most admirals aiming for hard mode are either forced to farm in easy first or hope they are lucky enough to get the drop while clearing said map.

Of course, I'm not saying admirals clearing maps in hard should have every merits possible, but considering the primary objective of the game, collection, it is kind of stupid that tackling the challenge punishes you hard when it comes to that objective.

That's why I think simply allowing players to change the difficulty of a map after clearing it would be a good compromise. Newbies and people not interested in the "challenge" would still have their way with the drops, while veterans could go ham without worrying being fucked in the end without farming in easy mode first.

I replaced FRTK with Suzuya, moved her to the top and gave her FCF. Make sure you have way over the AS+ amount (666 so you probably want 686). This involved me giving a Type 2 fighter to a CAV and replacing my CL's plane with a drum canister.

If you get to boss without using FCF you should be able to S rank. With FCF it's probably an A rank.

They're not generic or bland. They're subtle and practical, as opposed to crazy shit like Tenryuu's rigging. A lot of his stuff is iconic and inspired fans. The problem with Shibafu is he gets very lazy, cuts corners, and puts out blurry work which can look like unfinished drafts. The last event in particular turned the blurriness up to 11 and it's a crime he was allowed to put that out without doing a couple more passes to work on details, clean up lines, and polish everything. When you compare his blurs to Parsley's details, for example, it's night and day.

She has floating sci-fi bunny ears. That's not WWII era tech. There's glowing purple futuristic lights, and her damaged sprite has that blue electricity. Her boots have absurdly comical fins sticking out forwards and upwards. And as for the bridge section itself, it's turned at a 90 degre angle. That is more crazy than a smokestack. The way she's leaning forwards in the normal sprite disguises it a bit, but the swimsuit version shows how silly it is with the bridge windows facing straight up into the sky. And of course, she's got an eyepatch she doesn't need just to be chuni, and a sword with the shape and coloring of a ship hull. Yuubari and Agano don't have whole ships or anything close to it. Their central sections are smaller than Tenryuu's and they only have larger detached gun platforms, which are reasonable since "realistic" guns would have to be mounted on something. As for Kongou and other battleships, of course their equipment is massive; they're battleships. It wouldn't make any sense if battleship equipment was no larger than a light cruiser's.

To be fair, Akashi is mostly good for the lowest denominator equipments of their group and not as much for better gear. As the +stats stay the same all round, some gear can get a whoping 80% while other just barely 30% of a stat boost. And it takes incredibly long to do it either way if you look arounf priority lists and how much of what you need.
It gets worse that most new qeuipment is barely better than +max of the previous one up untill +6, while costing almost twice in screw and more so in equipment/resource costs.

I know there was some debuff memes going around but I don't see anything about that anymore. Had my first run-in with E4 boss and even a entire round of night battle double attack crits only took off 50% on kuso.
