Would you like to be Satori and read everyone's mind?

Yes, seriously. Life is bland, so any sort of superpower will do. But mind reading is special, because doing so would allow me to quench my infinite curiosity surrounding the human condition. I already have a good idea about how people think and reason in certain public situations and why they act the way they do, but that's something everyone can figure out and access because under those certain circumstances our differences are minimal since our aims very similar, and so a sufficiently justified projection is usually correct.

What mind reading would allow me to do is go deeper and beyond this public mask that people wear and into their private unrestricted thoughts. I would be able to conduct experiments in their purest form, without the subjects even remotely suspecting it. This should help me to understand myself better, which is something that I often wonder about. Of course the downside is that with such great knowledge of perhaps the most important aspect of human nature, the novelty of life which relies on mystery and discovery and ignorance will perish. But like I said, to me life is very unexciting and I am too conscious of its novelty to enjoy it (you can't be happy when you're conscious of it), so I would gladly give it up.
