As for bands like Uchoten, I already mentioned some on the last thread, but bands like Metronome or Himitsu Kessha Codomo A are like a more modern version of Uchoten IMO, or at least the influence is clearly there, the vocalists in those bands also sing in a way similar to Kera.

Oto-Oni got to release a full album and a bunch of singles. They stopped activities when the guitarist passed away in 2012.

hey lads, I'm looking for Japanese band I saw once on Youtube ages ago.

I don't remember much, but I remember they had 4-6 members. All male, I don't want to say middle-aged but certainly adults, no teens.

In one video they all wore black suits and did a routine in front of a camera.

Second video was on a train station.

I want to say they played some sort of indie-rock with pop and jazz elements, whatever that means.

My first J-Music rec. is and will always be The Pillows, despite their relative notoriety. An alternative rock band that's still jamming after twenty-eight years, they're best known for the FLCL OST. Their early work was notoriously eclectic, incorporating elements of jazz, rock, jangle pop, and more. The guitarist from Tokusatsu, Narasaki, is from the rock band Coaltar of the deepers, so you might want to check it out, I haven't listened much myself so I'm not sure if it's really similar to Tokusatsu.
There's many experimental rock bands, but it's hard to compare them to King-Show/Tokusatsu.
Ningen Isu comes to mind, they also did a song with King-Show not too long ago.
And I don't know why but thinking about bands like King-Show I remembered Seven Seas, a weird "pirate metal" band that had a quirky "anime opening" feel in their songs similar to what Ohken does, maybe.

These were hit singles off of three of his albums, but each one has more to it than just these. Those are 'Ride on Time', 'For You', and 'Melodies', and all three are good. I also like 'Moonglow' and 'Spacy'. But I'm a big fan so I might be biased.

Either way I think this guy rocks, and definitely recommend listening to his music.

As for style, I would call Yamashita's stuff something of a mix of Pop and Funk. It really depends on the song though, there's a range of offerings. I hope you enjoy listening to him as I do.

When it comes to funk rock my favourite band is THEATRE BROOK with its front-man Satou Taiji. It's based in rock with funk mixed in. Give it a listen. Taiji might seem kind of weird at first since he's clinging to that old now-long-gone ideal of true rock-star but he's really great musician. My main concern was that the noisiness would be too toned down. On the contrary the overall cleaner production helps emphasize the vocal samples that kick in after the "Myslee zenbu yume" part. Here's an interesting interview with the frontman Shuuichi Mabe if you can read Japanese. The band at the moment is extremely incomplete; Mabe played bass, guitar and keyboard for this release. I'm looking forward to their next EP which has 13 songs.

Sony had mercy and finally allowed Denki Groove to get their own VEVO channel, which means people from outside of Japan can now finally watch their videos on YT.
They didn't upload all of them though, only the most recent ones.
Mononoke Dance is one of the most vintage ones, I guess, this was 2008 I think. Love this track and the video.
