>> No.1738721

>>1738708
Because Earth is a ball of rock. Type-Earth, AKA Gaia, is the spirit that allows things to grow. The energy of plants, animals, etc. Humanity killed Gaia, and they were supposed to die. But they didn't.

>> No.1738729

>>1738721
That's probably because Humanity is a massive power in itself that doesn't need Type-Earth to maintain its existence any more. Hence shit like Counter Guardians.

Isn't the current theory not that "ORT doesn't have a concept of death" but rather "ORT has a concept of death that Shiki can't recognize"? Since ORT's blueprints aren't included in Gaia and all.

Sage because this topic has been discussed to death, but I wonder what everyone's saying about it these days.

If the universe has a definite lifespan, then everything in it does, too. It's just that some things in the universe have lifespans which don't coincide with anything we could ever understand.

>> No.1739226

>>1739213
Going by Character Material:
Some things in Nasuverse do not have a LifeSpan.
They can be destroyed physically, but carry no concept of death (aka, what Shiki does, who nhits their self-destruct button).

The True ancestors (based on Tmoon) for example, cannot die while supported by the Earth (yes, you can sever it, but that's a different issue), while they can be destroyed physically.

But if you leave them out for million years, they will be okay (excluding the bloodlust problem, again different issue).

Types do not have again the concept of death (or decay).Black Barrel actually, one of it's great side-effects apart from straight power, is spreading pretty much a cancer in Ether Beings (everything that was on earth after Aristotles invaded, and humans got mongrelised) and introduce concept of death, if it didn't exist.

tl;dr: There are many beings in the TMverse that when Tohno Shiki just looks at them, won't see their death straight away.

>> No.1739241

>>1739226
You're overlooking one fact: destroy the planet, destroy the Aristotle. They're just avatars of planets, to begin with.

But planets have deaths which are outside of the system that humans live in.

>> No.1739268

>>1739241
Dear Nasu never got around 'Planet Destroying'.

And seriously, that means you'd have to take Shiki to Jupiter, and probably at best have hit sever the connection between ORT and Mercury.
Yes, a feasible plan.

Too bad Planet-Destroying Shit is hard to come around.
