Not really. I'd say the writing was roughly on the same level. Keep in mind, however, Nasu relied a lot more on music and special affects (jerking between angles, static-y screen, flashes of light, piercing sounds, etc.) to keep the reader going through the material faster than its aged counterpart. Tsukihime relied more on the reader's imagination.

.... Although, with it being a VISUAL novel and not a SOUND novel that's kind of against the point.

Then again, Tsukihime also came out when Type-Moon was still a pitiful doujin circle.

However, there has been a slowly growing theme regarding love and Beato's opinions on that. See: Any conversation with Beato and Shannon, her flashbacks etc. And little by little the tension between her and Battler has been mutating, though into what might be too early to call (tho its fairly obvious). I'm putting my money on a "Love triumphs over all" ending.
