The simple fact of the matter is that /jp/ hates girls being with other men than themselves.
This is why the board is a steaming hellhole of misogyny and dogmatic heroine worship AT THE SAME TIME. That's why lines are drawn.
Every man here loves women, in fact they love the women so much that they can't tolerate the idea of them being with another man.
So the users all gravitate towards worlds with no male presence, or weak male presence (incompetent "innocent" males.)

Dunno. Just really goes against how I see Gensokyo's residents. I like to see Reimu and Marisa's relationship as something similar to sisters (or brothers if you see their personalities that way) instead of lovey-dovey people. Companions, but not to the point of lesbianism.

Sakuya and Remilia, I enjoy strictly viewing as a master/servant relation, Sakuya being seemingly slow, mysterious, and calm (only in an aspect similar to Dio though) and Remilia being childishly demanding. I like to think Sakuya acts how she does with Remilia because part of her treasures loyalty as a virtue above anything else, but also because with her ability, despite being a human, she fits perfectly among the oddities of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Tolerant and slow to anger, she end's up as Remilias main assistant because of Sakuya's willingness to take quick action, follow orders clearly when given, but still make her own judgments when away from the Mistress. She may seem slow, but really, she's extremely calculating, able to see things from different angles, sort of like a magician. Remilia, on the other hand, gives the appearance of a lady, but is quite spoiled when guests aren't around (which is basically most of the time), and prone to brash actions. In particular, she's been spoiled by Sakuya a fair bit because of Sakuya's personality and ability. She doesn't take any notice if Sakuya's loyalty is genuine, or if Sakuya has some other underlying reason for following Remilia.

Then you've also got a ton of nonsensical pairings which are just silly and I can't appreciate.
