She did come out of nowhere, FS started with Reimu already knowing her, that's what I'm talking about.

How so? They talk like friends and Kosuzu even implies Reimu knows her parents. The only thing Reimu didn't know about her was her ability but Kosuzu says that she only got it recently.

Don't play dumb, the whole manga has been showing how overprotective Reimu is of her even when she's not in the picture, she cares for her more than anyone else and even calls the gods inmediately the moment she disappears to know where she is, something she's never done for any other missing person like the disappeared children in wahh. Even Marisa notices this when Kosuzu is unconscious after they confused her with a ghost and points out how delicate Reimu's being with her.

Stupid comparison. We actually get to see Reimu and Marisa meet in PC98, so their long history actually means something to the long time consumer. Hell, even if you don't consider that canon, They're established as knowing each other in the very first game, where Marisa references Reimu a couple of times.
The point is that Reimu and Marisa's friendship has been built up over the course of years, while Kosuzu just kind of popped up in a manga and was suddenly introduced as Reimu's bffsie.

Because they've been fucking friends for years and she's relieved that she's simply being manipulated by one of Gensokyo's biggest chessmasters instead of going rogue of her own accord. Mamizou and Aya don't want to lose Kosuzu either.

Forbidden Scrollery has been running for a long time and Kosuzu is the fucking protagonist. She's obviously known in the town and to the youkai since she's Aya's distributor. How is she "coming out of nowhere"? How is any of this a surprise? The entire work has been leading up to these chapters.

Between this and all the stupid Fortune Teller dicksucking and the guy who thinks Reimu should kill Alice, I'm convinced that very few people who read FS on /jp/ have any reading comprehension whatsoever.

You're right. By killing kosuzu not only does she stop access to the youma books but also scares the village more and stops the tengu, kappa, and tanuki from interfering with the village since their only way in is kosuzu. With her dead the factions would be sent the message "you don't fuck with the village". The humans would become more scared of youkai and becoming one since it means you lose control of yourself and need to be purged, and ran will probably get the youma books from suzunaan when it's all over.
Yukari planned for Reimu to just exterminate Kosuzu when she turned into a youkai but Reimu saw through the plan and realised it was Yukari who was behind it. Reimu doesn't understand why Yukari is doing what she is but as far as she's aware Yukari drove the innocent young girl to youkaidom. Reimu is a tool of the state but this shows how she isn't completely controlled by Yukari.
Overall though Yukari should still be allowed to do what she wants.

To find out what the fuck was going on with FS I went out and found the discord server they're on. What I got from that was that the current FS tl team was shitposting on it most of the day only telling people it's delayed :^). But Akyuu is still puzzled. 'If it really is a youkai's work, who did it and why?'
Aya then reports what she knows: she vanished without a trace.
Whether a person is alive or dead, as long as there is a soul, he can be traced.
So, any simple case of kidnapping or disappearance can be ruled out.
Aya suggests that there's only one possibility: she's drifted to another world.
'There are many otherworlds besides Gensokyo, like netherworld, hell, heaven etc.'
'Without any special conditions or powers, no one can access the otherworlds.'
'However, among them is one with not as many restrictions: the outside world.'
'If that's the case, it's very likely she's been spirited away.'
This is the conclusion Aya has arrived at.
So, the tengu have given up as they cannot go and investigate the outside world. Akyuu gives up as well.

Then they talk about the hanami party Hakurei shrine is having that night.
The party is supposed to be grander than usual but only a few guests have been invited this time.
Akyuu being one of them.
Aya is worried that Akyuu has a frail body, but Akyuu has a request.
Since she's kinda scared visiting the shrine at night, Akyuu wants Aya to escort her.
After all, who'd be more suitable for the job than the tengu who're experts at kidnapping.
Akyuu says she's allowed to bring anyone she wants along with her, and she believes that Aya needs to be at the party.
Aya complies. 'As the fastest in Gensokyo, let me take the responsibility and carry you to the shrine.'

Did Suzu and Kasen ever appear in each other's manga? (even if Kasen was drawn by Moe-sensei in ULiL)
For that matter, I don't remember the fairies appearing in both of them either. Aside from a few cameos. (Again, Kasen did appear in Hirasaka's manga)

Actually to clarify it isn't the same day or event as the Fairies chapter if that's what you meant, if the flowers weren't blooming to begin with obviously you wouldn't plan a flower viewing. But this chapter is just a bit later and refers back to that one.

How so? Sanae mentions that the flowers weren't blooming until late in the season, and then they bloomed suddenly, which we know is true due to the actions of the fairies. Marisa, who knows that it was them, simply says "miracles happen". Marisa is the only one that knows why the flowers bloomed suddenly (Clownpiece causes them to bloom late because she made the Shrine so warm, all of the fairies cause them to bloom suddenly with their story), everyone else would just know that they bloomed suddenly.

This isn't the same event as the VFiS chapter because the flowers are already blooming in this chapter, long before the party starts. They're blooming in the morning before Marisa even starts preparations; in the fairies chapter they set up for the party before Marisa goes to join the fairies. According to Reimu, the fairies only complete their story and cause the flowers to bloom right before the flower viewing starts that night.

I get what you're saying and you're right that this isn't the same event, but this part isn't true. The whole plot of the Fairies chapter is that there was a planned Flower Viewing without the flowers being in bloom, and the fairies cause them to bloom the day of the party.
