First, whether you wear a robe or a plate mail doesn't decide if you are in light/medium or heavy armor. Look at your inventory screen and you will see your total equipped weight. Under 15 is light, between 15 and 35 is medium, then heavy. You definitely want to be either in light or medium weight. Medium already gives a bit of spell failure but as you get more armor skill it's not so bad. Heavy gives way too much.
So basically equip whatever good stuff you find, but keep in mind your total weight. Should probably stay in light weight until you get a few levelups on your spells, which also increases spell cast success.

For weapon, use the best one you find at the beginning, but using a shield or dual wielding also gives you a 5-6% spell failure chance, so only equip a single weapon and leave the second slot empty. Later when you find a tonfa you can put that into your offhand slot, it doesn't count either as a shield or dualwielding.

As for your sprite, go to Palmia and find the dressing room, you can disable showing your armor there.

My second character ever after playing the same one off and on again for years.

Also I'd appreciate a spoon with the chat. I don't see "noaneko.squares.net%elona.squares.net%" in server.txt. What I see in it is an error message in codespeak with alot of "nifty" URLs and 404.

I dont know jack shit about coding but replacing everything with "elochat-proxy.shiroko.yi.org%elona.squares.net%" didn't seem to do anything and running elochat.exe replaces it with the error message above anyway.

Final preparations are complete for my lv 6666 void dive. All my pets have superb 5 hashtags/pound+ or at least class 7 resists in everything. Surprisingly I didn't have to make too much use of artifact fusion for some of my pets. For instance, for my pet Saya I crafted pieces with enough resists that I only needed to craft a living weapon, in her case a panty, to fill out any resist holes. Pretty easy to manipulate resist choices by going to the blacksmith and hardening the living weapon.

I really like how the object of heart acts like a list of things you should work on for pets. Don't know how high of PV or DV you need to cover the physical damage weakness though. Almost all of my pets have similar protection values to my character and I haven't had problems yet. If things get crazy down there I'll probably work on armor skills, getting Nefia cores, and farm more hero cheese for the party.

My character Kai will be the main damage dealer. He'll be assisted by Saya and Akeno in doing melee damage with Akeno probably playing tank due to her damage resistance. Mai will play midfield where she'll destroy smaller enemies that like to mob with magic storm. Mina will be in the back bursting down enemies with arrows. Hopefully I have enough firepower to cut through each enemy having 20 million HP eventually.

Work on restoring your attribute potentials and by proxy making gold. Invest in magic vendors until you see potions of potential show up and bless them before consuming to restore all your attributes. About 4 blessed potions of potential should take you to superb from hopeless. If your alchemy skill is high enough you can also make potions of potential.

It's worth it but it takes a lot of time to farm hero cheese. You'll get a lot of bang out of hero cheese as you level up too. Ideally you should be leveling your character, working on constitution, and slowly raising your life attribute to become less squishy.

Having said that, sometimes the best defense is a good offense. Don't have to worry too much about being squishy if everything has been turned to ash before anything bad happens. So leveling up your attack spells can help there.

Newfriend here, could someone help dumb down equipment/weapon for me? I've just been wearing PV focused stuff that isn't too heavy since that's what the guide said. How does dual wielding work? I currently have three major goals. Getting little sisters for Kumiromi statues to get a stable herb production. I have one herb farm so far and I struggle to keep all the field tiles occupied with herbs. I rarely get herb seeds from harvest quests so I try to boost it with Kumiromi statues.

Buying every scroll of wonder I can find for the summon spirit spell. I'm not sure if this still works, but I'll try to summon them in party quests to get mad points by performing to them or alchemical rain love potions all over them. Someone here said you can get an insane amount of tickets this way. Probably Kai. I'll trade them for all the hero cheese, happy apples and magic fruits to get those stats up.

And finally getting all the god rewards for completionists sake. I think I buggered that one up, since I can't seem to find Lulwy's Wind Bow anywhere, but I have the Tempest Collar. Even the scientist doesn't reward the bow, so I must have skipped it.

Pet have higher speed than you. Anything with higher speed gets turns more often. So, if you have speed of 100 and quickling nearby have speed of 1000 then after you make an action, this quickling will make ten actions until you get your chance to do the next one.

Honestly you could be any level with any stats. But yours are looking alright. Your speed is quite low, you might benefit from a speed ring or two. I think your main goal right now should be to get as high resists as possible, slowly build up an herb farm and level your crafting skills. Pretty soon you'll be able to beat act 1 if you haven't already and start getting AP, then spend it at Leold.

Maybe try leveling mining for some CON and Houzanha (30 skill).

I've been experimenting with custom AI on a party healer (a Defender pet) and so far it doesn't seem worth it.
If you don't lock target, she heals enemies. If you do lock target, you have to pick among Self, Ally and Player - if you pick Ally, she won't heal Player, etc. So it's basically 6 commands (3 for heal, 3 for checking for MP) just to cast a heal spell.
That's not taking into account that Healing Rain has a short range so adding Move Forward may be necessary in there as well and there are just not enough AI slots for everything.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to make it work?

It seems it would so much more efficient to just scrap the healer pet and give every other guy/gal a self-heal routine that takes 2 slots max.

That's not how it actually works. At very high casting levels (around 1300) success chance goes up with increased spell level, at about 200 spell level you can cast with 100% chance before warmage/armor/etc modifiers. Thankfully casting is one of the easiest skills in the game to grind as you can spam oracle for massive gains. Don't have enough MP to spam oracle for massive gains? Then you're probably not at a point where you should be worrying about end-game wish statistics.

There's some sample music packs you can base your packs off of, structure-wise.
One important thing to note is that the game applies the music files you list in the text file to ingame tracks IN A SPECIFIC ORDER. You can't change that order. Listing the ingame track name next to your file names is just a convenience.

Even at high levels of shop rank there is RNG involved in whether vendors stock a certain item and how much. From what I've seen a vendor can carry up to 5 wonder scrolls and up to 10 material scrolls. Not counting blessed. You won't always see them carry their max amounts though. Some may only carry 3, 2, etc and sometimes they won't carry the item you want at all. In my case my, this particular vendor in my home carried 5 wonder scrolls but no material scrolls. I'd have to wait 3 days to see if she got a new shipment of material scrolls.

Talking about magic vendors and aside from finding potions of potential, I've also have found potions of cure corruption, potions of evolution, flying scrolls, and rarely potions of descent. If you are not seeing these items in your own shops it stands that you might want to keep investing.

There is an RNG element to domination so you might have to try multiple times before you succeed. There are things you can do to help your chances though. Carrying the monster heart, an item gained by completing Mia's quest, helps in all domination attempts. If you're using the spell domination then higher spell levels of that helps. If you're using a rod then higher levels of magic device helps. Reduction of HP isn't required nor do I recall it helping much for me.

Then how specialized do you want to be? The way I see it the more specialized you are in the game the greater difficulty you're adding to the game. Can it be done? Probably but expect things to take longer to do.

Alright. I have learned 3 things today.
1. Just choosing to duel someone makes them permanently cross with you. Even if you don't kill them.
2. You cannot run away from a duel when you throw the glove badly and hit the number 5 npc adventurer in the game instead of your intended target.
3. Incognito and disguise kits never show up when you want them to.

Susadeth the adventurer has a pretty apt name. I had only died twice up until level 15 when I crossed her and she has appeared as I was traveling to random towns 3 times already. She somehow always showed up at the gate I entered and has murdered me each of those times before I can react. I now check the adventurer list every town and am trying to give her a wide berth. She is in a chaos fort now. Hopefully she'll die or at least give me time to find some kind of disguise.

Getting hungry but I don't have a cooking tool in my inventory. See a bunch of fire bolt rods and get this fantastic idea to just put the food on the ground and use the rods. Manage to turn my food into charcoal and end up lighting the inn on fire. Try to get some potions next door to put out the fire but then the etherwind starts to blow. Discussions about the nature of the void around bonfires is a common activity at the void base camp. One topic that keeps coming up is the guardians of the various barriers found in the void. Sir Olfuga posits that when agents of chaos, such as the ones found in chaos forts, die their souls are brought back to serve as guardians of the void. An interesting theory if true as it explains some of the souls found down there but not all. I was reminded of this today.

While mapping out floor 675 my team came upon the familiar shape of a little girl hunched over a partially eaten dead adventurer. This thing in front of me took the shape of a person I had known since I began my adventures. Back then, to put food on the table and build a body suitable for adventuring, I helped the farmers of Yowyn. A little girl named Gwen would follow me around as I worked the fields and would ask me to tell her stories about heroes and my life as and adventurer. She really enjoyed these stories and I made a promise that I would come by at least once of a month to share more stories with her. For awhile I was able to keep that promise but when I defeated Zeome, mercenary work took me to South Tyris and I had to spend 3 years there.

I had heard stories through other adventurers that Gwen became an adventurer since the last time I saw her and was making a name for herself. The pitiless they called her. When my business in South Tyris concluded I came to Yowyn to visit her but what I found was a mute woman that had lost the light in her eyes. The villagers told me she retired from adventuring and came back home. Whatever she saw out there as an adventurer broke her and now she spends her time just staring out into the sky.

The thing before me in the shape of young Gwen noticed me and came over to greet me with a knife. I quickly dispatched her and lying there with her broken body she smiled back and said, "8th time?" I just nodded. "Promise me you'll play with me again?" As she began to fade the barrier for the next floor disappeared.

Well my overall feelings towards PV is to just get as much as you can but not giving up resists, immunities, and other stuff that can up your damage. Kai uses static artifacts so equipment material was never something I could really change. Using a material kit does nothing on them and is a mistake to use if you've already used artifact fusion. It will remove all the stuff on it as it restores the static artifact to default. I feel my PV is sufficient so far though. My pets don't really use static artifacts so material options open up with them.

The easiest way to raise PV is through getting armor pieces made out of adamantium, blessing it, and hardening it using the blacksmith. Some pieces of armor have innate better PV values such as composite armor being better than say robes insofar as PV is concerned. After that, the raising of PV revolves around the armor skills. The problem is that the armor skills are among the hardest skills in the game to raise. Aside from spending bonus points on them, there is nothing you really can do to raise those skills since those skills auto level after a certain amount of in game time passes. So for the most part, PV will mainly be tied to what you're wearing. You can temporarily raise PV through the spell Holy Shield so leveling up that spell can help you out. Will last quite awhile too if leveled sufficiently.

PV helps mitigate damage through damage reduction but due to how hard it is to raise PV and how damage works, it's impossible to negate all damage through PV. The goal then with PV is simply to negate enough damage so that healing can keep up with HP loss. Having more HP helps a lot in shoring up what lack of PV a character may have but ideally you want both a decent PV value and a lot of HP.

As for what I'm seeing about wanting higher to hit values with Rubyness, I can somewhat understand at lower levels finding it useful. However, later on when your weapon skills are developed and your eye of mind skill is high you don't really worry about hitting. I rarely miss. Especially when crits are factored in. The soft cap for life and mana is 1000. You can go over that value but it does you no good. You won't be getting any extra HP or MP from it so that's why I stopped there on my character.

So far my character and pets are doing alright in the void. I haven't really had to turn everything my pets own to adamantium but in general I've tried to make sure their gear is at least some high tier material for PV or DV.

So after finally getting back into the usual groove, I managed to find one of my stat sheets buried in the archives that was somewhere around my previous save state and compared it to my current one I started from a backup.

It helps if you look at combat pets as an extra source of damage that you can put exp into like any other skill.
Then realize that all exp that a pet gets is multiplied by like 10.

No, if you buy a shack your cave is transformed into a shack and moves to the spot you read the deed on.
Also, if you use the removal deed your home will move to the spot without upgrading and all your items will stay where they were in your home.

Riding is absolute trash in Elona+ unless
1) you use it for travel only
2) you take a low speed INIT mount and put a lot of work into it

popular technique for gunners is to use use rods to cast spells to allow them to equip a shield and medium/heavy armor. casting is still important though for getting buffs up, but you cast those before going down the stairs and you can use potions of speed and resistance to keep the two most important ones up without risking a fail cast.

I've seen the Pile Driver do more damage than the Blood Rod. Think the Pile Driver is the best two hand weapon for damage if you don't count inner god weapons.

Since Kai already has 2000 tactics and a little bit more than 2000 strength I thought I might give dual wield a whirl in trying to forecast damage potential. I used the Rankis for timestop and equipped the best living lightsaber I had on me.

I sandbagged a minotaur mage down in the void for damage practice. I tried to think of any unique buffs a dual wielder can get but couldn't think of any however martial arts does have 2 unique buffs that help it out which are attribute and clear mind. I color coded each attack performed in one turn. For instance the dual wield attacks in picture 3 are color coded and the numbers highlighted in orange captures the stab attack of the Rankis and the nether damage it does. Total amount of damage for dual wielding was 307,303. Total amount of damage for martial arts in picture 4 was 2,723,663. So dual wielding is short by 2,416,360 for its 8 attacks.

Now lets assume dual wield gets time stop off. I can get 6 actions in one time stop. Lets assume I get very lucky and for all 6 actions I get 8 attacks each for a total of 48 attacks while time stop is active. Now that would flood my log and make it impossible to track damage but lets assume that the 8 attacks in my picture is extended out 7 times then to account for time stop. So 307,303 times 7 = 2,151,121 dmg. Definitely closer to MA's damage but not there yet. Dual wield is 265,239 damage short. So what would need to happen to exceed MA damage in this instance is for dual wield to trigger 2 time stops in one turn and within those timestops a great majority of your actions needs to trigger 8 attacks back to back. A very tough feat to accomplish but if you can pull off a miracle and get the stars to align it may be possible.

So to conclude, it seems like MA would consistently beat out dual wield in damage but it is possible for dual wield to beat out MA once in awhile if one were to get extremely lucky with time stops and consistently did 8 attacks each action within those timestops. At least with this setup. Perhaps the gap would be smaller with better equipment but I wouldn't suggest using inner god weapons. Don't have time stop and MA already beats them on dice. Can't artifact fusion inner god weapons either.
