I killed that boss without getting a hit. It's quite easy if you are a gunner. First you kill the shikigamis with the fire spell (or using the fire stones).
Next you start shooting the boss, once he gets very near, you cast trigger happy. After that, you make the cerberus cast firebreath to push away the monster. And repeat the process until it dies.

If you do delete your single character and make a new one, try and stash all your previous character's stuff in the stash. It says it's shared between characters, so I would assume that when you start the new one, you'd have access to their items. I haven't tried it for fear of losing my stuff, however.

It's the same NPC that handles the item storage box, her name is Tonnerre or Tsundere or something. She's near the middle of home 3 in front of a big black obelisk thing. You have to select Clan and then Clan list, then cycle though the list of clans with the arrow keys at the bottom until you find the one you want, then select it and request membership.

You can be invited across space and time, or you can go to the terminals located in every town and check the guilds there.

However, guilds will only appear once per town, depending on where they set their guild base. Our guild (and most guilds) is based in Home III, the town your start out in.

Apparently there's some kind of combination expertise called 'Demon Bullet' that lets gunners use elemental attacks, but I haven't been able to find any info on it.

Mages get 'Elemental Rushes', which seems to me the height of retardation, since if I'm playing a mage I'm playing to stay AWAY from the enemy, not fucking charge in and punch them.

Nah, they don't ask for anything. Your choice if you want to give money (1000 Mecca skill) or items (Mags, Gems, Jewels, or Jewelry skills).

For example, you use the 1000 Mecca skill on the enemy. Instead of the 3 greetings/threats/taunts, you just need to do it once for their answer (join, attack, etc).

But as I said before, it's fucking annoying to threaten/taunt. Hopefully the Give Gems/Jewels/Jewelry skills make it easier.

The problem being is that re-birthing is half the appeal. It allows people to keep grinding endlessly and without needing ever more exp, if anything getting easier as you go on.

What is there going to be to do after you hit max level in this game? There seem to be some side skills, but with the way the skill system is, you're going to hit a point where you can't learn anything else and have nothing left to grind for.

I believe you have to talk to some NPC...try that Demon Hunter outside Home III. I know I unlocked it by talking to people.
Oh, and handy tip: TALK TO EVERYONE. They will A) Give you side quests for EXP and B) Tell you game info/unlock a feature that you can't use yet. For example, you get the 'fuel tank' to deconstuct the items from plasmas from a NPC in the Home III Camp in the Northern part of map.

You get a shotgun for the guy who's always cleaning his rifle or whatever. He may be a bit crazy, but he's the coolest out of most of the shops in Home III since he actually talks more than one or two lines.
