I hate the term "ninja warrior" and other associated terms. Ninja were not warriors. The origins of the Shinobi are that they were peasants who did not have enough resources to fight in the open, so required underhand tactics to fight against their feudal masters. This evolved into them being used as spies and assassins, but they were never, ever warriors.

Due to popular culture, people treat them as some all-powerful character as if they were just that, but they weren't.
