The next Touhou concert by JAGMO will take place in 3 weeks, on May 3rd. Why haven't you bought your ticket yet, like any respectable 2hufag?

For those who don't know, the JApan Game Music Orchestra is a full, 40+ members symphonic orchestra playing video game music only. They held their first Touhou-only concert last year, a few days before Reitaisai 13, with a program sporting some of the best tracks from TH6 to TH12; it was also replayed in October, a few days before Autumn Reitaisai 3, with more or less the same program. I found out about it when ZUN tweeted after the performance.

This year though they are expanding the selection up to TH15 with 2 performances (early afternoon and early evening), each one with a common section and a unique section. And this time I'm going to attend. Both performances, of course. Because YOLO.

OP here, fellow Eurofag.
Both performances costed € 136 (I choose a plebian seat for the day and a more patrician one for the evening - price varies). Flight was € 525, usually the earlier you book the cheaper you get; I'm staying at a AirBNB guest's house, € 35/night. Traveling within Tokyo and food together should cost on average € 15-20 a day.

So if you plan a very short trip just for the concert, like May 2nd to 4th, it's going to be around € 750. Staying a whole week to attend also Reitaisai 14 on May 7th (makes much more sense) would set you back € 1000. Of course if you still manage to find an affordable flight.
At this point I went overboard and planned to stay 10 days in Tokyo, plus 2 days in Gunma to enjoy onsen towns, staying at 2 ryokans. I'm spending around € 1500 (not including buyfagging expenses), I can't exactly afford it but yolo.

It's never going to be as popular as it was back in 2006-2009, but it's managed to maintain its current level for years now.

The sudden surge of Kancolle settled down and was replaced with Touken Ranbu (i think), that'll do the same, but Touhou's about the same every year.
