We all love danbooru, right?
We check the 50 pages worth of new material first thing every morning, and we hoard them pics like our lives depend on it.

There's nothing better than riding on a bus, browsing danbooru and trying to choose a new wallpaper for your smartphone. That gave me an idea. So here's a challenge for you guys.
Try to put a danbooru picture on the oldest piece of technology that you possibly can.

Here's a Kuromukuro image on a '99 Nokia 7110.

I archive kiddie videos in SD and microsd cards that I hide in crevices around my house wrapped in shrink wrap and silica packs.

I also have a 36tb NAS that is built into the wall by a safe installer who also did my gun safe. Used for backup and active sharing content.

I have 2 internet connections. One for casual use with comcast and one I get through a Pringles can WiFi receiver pointed to this Lutheran church that I use to share less than savory things.

Oh geeze, computer games? There was a girl playing Carmen Sandiego.

One that come to mind is a Russian guy who seemed very impressed with his new camera back in the early 90s out on the hiking trail at some park with a young girl taking videos of the two and at some vistas.

I remember a guy playing a dreamcast or PlayStation with his kid.

Not really any of them playing with computers while filming but sometimes you can see computers and sound equipment behind the hanging sheets on some vids.

I'd get a Danbooru picture on there, but my Mac isn't connected to the internet and it also uses a proprietary 800 kb floppy disk that's been obsolete for 25+ years, so transferring files from a modern computer is costly and annoying. A2 owner here, I used this tool:
http://hoop-la.ca/apple2/appleoldies/bmp2dhr/

The A2 allows stdin to be redirected from a serial port, so I do that and then run a python script that writes the image into HGR memory by issuing tons of monitor commands. It's quite slow, takes about 2 minutes to transfer an image.

The actual machine is from my grandparents, so it has some nostalgia value, If I was just collecting, I'd get a IIgs.

It's my family's first computer which we've had as long as I can remember, I think my dad said that he bought it somewhere around 1983.

To get the image onto the bbc micro, I wrote some scripts on my PC that convert images into the bbc's native resolution and colour palette, and a BASIC program on the bbc which draws the image on the screen using the plot commands. Then I transferred the data using a null modem/serial cable.

>>16794934
You can find old computers pretty cheap. I don't normally draw that much stuff on it, I'm sure you can tell I'm not much of an artist, I mostly play old games on it. I got my Mac at a ham fest for $40, excluding the price of a bunch of software on floppies and an external floppy drive. If you're in Southern New England they've got a great one called Swap Fest that MIT holds every month from April to October.

It's not aggressively trying to destroy itself these last few months. Seriously did someone else take over Gelbooru or did the runner just go crazy?

Here, the paper was already used a couple of times on the back so it bled through, plus I should really try one of the wide column modes of the printer to improve the look.

There's a dot addressable mode if I ever get around to finding upgrade EEPROMs.
