EoSD: # of likable characters: 6. Flandre and all the stage bosses but Meiling.
PCB: # of (new) likable Characters: 5. Chen, Alice, Youmu, Yuyuko, Yukari
IN: # of (new) likable characters: 5. Wriggle, Tewi, Reisen, Eirin, Kaguya
MoF: # of (new) likable characters: 2. Nitori and Suwako
SA: # of (new) likable characters: 1. Orin, and she's only likable if you don't get too frustrated about her attacks.

ZUN is obviously out of ideas. Therefore, ZUN should quit trying to make new characters and just stick with the good ones he already has, especially Remi. Where the FUCK is Remi in SA?

I actually kind of like that. I like how it doesn't matter how over the top you are or how ill-defined your brand of hax is, there's always some other queen bitch of the universe lurking just outside your field of vision. Makes the zuniverse as a whole feel a lot bigger than just Raymoo's temple and a couple other hot spots.

But I do agree that he'd do well to skip a year of inventing new characters and flesh out the ones he has already made up a bit more. I yearn for another Imperishable Night - a game with eight playable characters and a shitton of other good content (Spellcard mode especially should be in every single Touhou game).

Even though this thread has derailed...I don't really see the problem with Orin. Yeah, sight reading her sucked, and it took a lot of getting used to, but once you did there isn't really anything difficult about her. (I'm only basing this on normal though)

Zombie Fairy - just don't shoot the fairies
Spleen Eater - really straightforward
Former Hell - once you get used to it, you know exactly where to move
Rekindling - this doesn't really pull any punches

She just takes a little more time to get used to than the other bosses.
