What exactly happened to Yukari's popularity?

She was very popular just few years ago and getting tons of porn.

Marisa's popularity exceeded Yukari's even at the height of Yukari's popularity. Also, a not insignificant chunk of Marisa fans are very hardcore nerds that are not going to turn traitor at the drop of a hat(That said, she also has a lot of "fans" that only care about memes). The fact that Marisa is a playable character in nearly every main game plus all the fangames she is a protagonist in solidifies her position even more. Marisa's popularity is not going anywhere anytime soon.
