what do you anons hope for the next touhou game in terms of story and characters? Personally i think the last one was fun to play but uninteresting in the story and had much less waifu material than the other games. What i hope for the next game is that it feels like a throwback but still innovative, and that it makes me feel nostalgic but without the sad part of it, like i'm in my early days of playing this game again.

I hope there's good music and fun battles and ZUN doesn't bother with any complicated plot. You don't need that much of a reason to shoot things out of the sky. Hopefully it's just some random incident again. Like a bunch of bug youkai are preventing winter from coming or something.

I think the scenarios of the games from 6 to 12 was pretty nice and an extra reason for me to play the game, that's why i'd like something similar to be back, iunno if ZUN has run out of shinto myths but if he hasn't i would like to see more.

Do you mean the characters' designs or the way ZUN is drawing? I don't like ZUN's new style where all the characters colors are washed out and they look plastic but Junko's design is fantastic.
