For one, she won't be taking you. She's the Ferryman. The one who will take your soul is a mighty Reaper Shinigami. Said entity will bring your soul by force, should you choose to resist it. (If you DO defeat it, you gain a few years to your lifespan before it returns.) It will THEN bring you to Komachi, who will guide you across the River for the cost of a single coin (check under your tongue). Should the price not be paid, you get 100 years on the near side to wander as a ghost. Should you REFUSE to get on her boat, regardless of fee; you can return as a spirit to a massive dock to your Karma for your quite-inevitable Judgment in the presence of the Yama. (When such time comes is unknown; perhaps that Judgment Day all them loonies talk about.)

4 times a lifetime. Be sure to balance them out with good deeds. As a general rule, sins cannot be washed away by good deeds in life but by being forgiven. The good deeds is just convertible into karma coins when you're dead, which in turn would be Komachi's pay-day. Prepare 4 lifetimes worth of jokes for Komachi or your karma coins won't do shit.
