1663876 No.1663876 [Reply] [Original]

The Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry is to test a technology that restricts Internet users' access to Web sites featuring pornographic images of children as early as next fiscal year, according to sources.

The ministry plans to draw up a list of Web sites known to contain graphic images of minors. When a user attempts to access one of these sites, the technology will guide the user to a government site saying access to that particular URL is regulated.

According to the sources, the technology already is in use in 10 countries, including Scandinavian nations. The ministry will ask Internet service providers to take part in the experiment.

The ministry is to incorporate its plan in a draft report formulated by a ministry study group.

The report is due to be released Wednesday.

Actually pedo advocate threads (such as the long-running ロリ物総合 threads on download, currently changi) have been disallowed on 2ch for a long time. At least as far as linking or promoting CP goes. Jr Idol stuff and momosu is still tolerated.

when government want to fuckup with people's privacy they always lie about terrorism
when government want censorship they always lie something like "think about the children"

they're just want to ban every site what they don't like

>> No.1663944

You know, these systems aren't all that bad (if it is the same as in "the Scandinavian nations"). I have never experienced the page block, at least, and the worst thing that could happen is seeing it. It doesn't log your IP or anything, and relies on the national DNS' (so you can use openDNS or another such service to get around it should that be what you want).

>> No.1663968

We've alwya sfound a way around censorship. Those that don't know look up darknets, tor (BOUNTY OF CAKE (I DON't MEAN ANYTHING LIKE THAT< NOT AT ALL), perfect dark (look it up on tor), and similar file sharing networks and darknets. Freenet as well. My work is done

The only problem is that there are no cp sites. This shit is in use in Finland and the only thing it's blocking is a few regular porn sites and the site a guy put up which listed the sites being censored.

The fear of bumping into cp while browsing the net is perpetrated by people who are not very familiar with the internet or have a different agenda. Have you ever ran into a cp site?

Yeah. FTP site back in the nineties. I was looking for some mp3s and there was a directory of cp as well. Was removed by the next day. More recently, seen some abandoned/unmoderated messageboards/chans become de facto cp sites.

The thing is, of course, that I've never actually looked for a cp site. I'm sure there are some.

More importantly, do you trust your government employees or agencies to only use their power to protect you? Even if you do now what about in the future?

If you give your government power, it uses it. I would never suffer something like the patriot act where i live. It doesn't matter if it's terrorism or cp, introducing censorship by saying 'think of the children' is still just that, censorship.

U.N. can't even keep Africans from killing themselves with antiquated ex-Russian weaponry.

U.N. can't even keep its own peacekeepers from raping little girls and encouraging child prostitution rings of sizes unseen since the Vietnam War.

U.N. can't even keep its officials from committing fraud and pillaging its own accounts, skimming off money to send to Swiss bank accounts.

I don't really fear the U.N.

The U.N. couldn't even enforce its own policies regarding Iraq, so America had to enforce them for it.

Thanks for reminding me.

Also, U.N. = The interests of Europe and assorted dictatorships.

Because Russia, China, the U.S., and Britain don't really give a fuck about the U.N.
