I made a wallpaper for Tojiko, because she's beautiful and elegant!

That's all for today!

>> No.16500786

I honestly mistook Tojiko in this image for the Pokemon Tornadus.

Pretty cool wallpaper OP. I really like your works.

Hey OP, do you have a full list of your stuff?

wow. I was about to upload a pic of Tornadus-I then I saw this post. I had a feeling there was good crossover between veepee and here.

Here's a link to all of them so far: imgur.com/a/r969D

but I'll post a few of my favorites anyway since I've got the time.

In the meanwhile, which ones are your favorites? who should I do next?

This one was originally a more vertical piece, I just rearranged the components to fit horizontally, and still fill up the space. That mustard yellow isn't a color I'd normally associate with Momiji, but it works with the blue-green and red to make a strong primary appeal. Adding the hexagonal texture gives it some depth and helps pull the piece together, I think. I probably couldn't have picked a better font, though.

When I see a "random scattering" pattern, nothing upsets me more than obvious tiling! So I make an effort to hide the seams, if you will. It's not like every single star is hand-placed, you can find repeating motifs if you look, but I use tricks like flipping or rotating them to get more mileage out of a pattern and make it seem random.

I think the primary colors speckling the creamy background give the overall impression of a giant jawbreaker, which works well with the innocent and childlike Remilia.

i like it, you're kinda right about the yellow color, something like autmun brown could have done the trick

On the other hand, sometimes you want to see a clear, symmetrical pattern! The image I started with was only the right third, but in the end I didn't like the hues and just remade the entire background myself. I think the low-saturation colors make you think of a clear winter day after its snowed, and the lumpy borders are pleasantly ambiguous as clouds or snowbanks.

The Engrish was added to fill up space, and I was thinking of the sort of phrase that might be sincerely printed on a Japanese T-shirt. Plus, it fits our baka's image.

Sometimes it's really just as easy as flipping some art around, and drawing a bunch of parallel arrows. Still, I like how I was able to work Seija's gimmick into the piece, and make it do all the heavy lifting. The blue arrows are smaller than the red ones, creating the illusion of depth, which is important against a stark white background. I was channeling the Digimon Movie, or Summer Wars a little?

Also, note the filename: this was the first 2560x1440 wallpaper I did, but it was Seija after all, so...

Ideolo makes wonderful art, and it's especially friendly for wallpaper expansion. I had to extend wires and add another pole on the right for this one. It's hard work to add to the art itself, so I avoid doing it as much as possible. But if you look close, you can tell where my work begins and the original art ends.

But I wanted to do this one, to do justice to Aya. My previous attempt involved a sunset with a ton of messy gradients and fog, and it came out as a total mess. But when it's solid colors like this, I can manage.

How do you decide which touhou to make a wallpaper of? Any chance for a Parsee wallpaper?

>> No.16514756

>>16513659
At first I was only doing my favorites, but then I started just looking for art that seemed like it would be suitable and fun to turn into a wallpaper. I also take requests into consideration, so look forward to some Parsee in the future!
