It pisses me off that these things cost from ￥25000 to ￥60000. The companies that make these little backpacks for the elementary school children capitalize on the fact that the kids will be ostracized for standing out, forcing the parents to buy a product that will keep their children from being the nail that hasn't been pounded in yet.

In addition, what happens when the kid loses his/her backpack? Another ￥60000 gone! Fuck me in the ass!

You can also buy them used in Japan for much less

however the idea is they only buy one, and it's sturdy enough to last the entire school career, so you pay for quality handmade ones, rather than chinese factory made ones.
