Can't do much with them. Seija is a renegade and got her own game, Shinmyoumaru was the focus of one of FS's arcs, that's all. Wakasagi, Kagerou, and Sekibanki don't like going out in the open and only appeared in DDC because of the mallet's influence. The instruments are doing their own thing, and are assumably like the Prismrivers.

It was easy to think they weren't until the manga started coming out, in which Marisa is almost either already at the shrine, going to the shrine, or hanging out with Reimu outside of the shrine.

Yeah, just saying that ZUN's limited by the games. A true danmaku battle is a fireworks show on both ends, but in the games only the protagonist is dodging. Hence why the phantasmagoria games are "technically" the closest representation to how it actually looks. And in that vein, since you can only have one protagonist and the shot types have to be distinct, Reimu and Marisa never work together in the games themselves.

Also for what it's worth Fortune Teller was "right". He deduced that if he transcended bloodlessly he could enjoy a good and more free life in Gensokyo. What he failed to realize is that he wasn't allowed to do that, so Reimu (legitimately) exterminated his ass. What he did might've given others ideas, and he also put two human villagers in harm's way (Kosuzu and himself (suicide)). Only Outsiders are allowed to get murdered and hurt in this paradise.
