News:
-The next maintenance on January 10 will last from 11:00 to 18:00. New Year's furniture will be added to the furniture shop, replacing winter furniture. A long-awaited update to Engine Upgrades (i.e. turbines and boilers) will finally be implemented.
-End Of Year lines have been replaced by New Year lines, as well as New Year and haregi sprites. The recipients of new New Year lines include Yamato, Iowa and Warspite. The recipients of the new sprites are Houshou (New Year), Iowa (haregi), Yamakaze (haregi) and Northern Hime. Akitsushima's haregi sprite has been updated. They will be removed on the January 10 maintenance.
-All players have been given a New Spring 2017 wall furniture on startup, which will remain available until the January 10 maintenance.
-Four limited time New Year's quests have been added, including a quest which rewards a Furniture Worker and either a Shiun, a Ro.43 or an OS2U, and one which rewards a Skilled Crew and a New Year's furniture. They will remain until the January 10 maintenance.
-Two World 1 quests have been added, the first requiring an S rank each at 1-1 and 1-2 rewarding a Furniture Worker and either a +3 improved 25mm triple AA gun or a large extension bulge, and the second requiring an S rank each at 1-3 and 1-4 rewarding a Reinforcement Expansion and a piece of furniture.
-AA guns and Extension Armors can now be equipped in the expansion slot created by a Reinforcement Expansion.
-Extension Bulges (Large) can now be improved and upgraded to New Ship Design Extension Bulges (Large), which can be further improved.
-You are now able to access Akashi's factory while not on a sortie by clicking the crane at the bottom left corner of the screen, whenever she is the flagship of the first fleet.
-If improving or upgrading equipment requires the consuming of other equipment, the remaining quantity of required equipment will be shown just before confirming the upgrade.
-The next Kai 2 will be for a CA. Saratoga will also get a second remodel, along with F4F (Wildcat) planes being upgradable to F6F (Hellcat) planes.
-The 5th year of KanColle will see foreign ships from "interesting places". Matsukaze, Hatakaze and/or Yuunagi will also be implemented early next year.
-New submarines, Akizuki- and Matsu-class destroyers, and escort carriers are also under plans to be added.

10cm - useful for Aki guns
Poi guns - will be useful for Shimakaze gun
Urakaze guns - might be useful in the future
Libe gun - too rare to scrap
15.2 - I might create 15.2K in the future, already have one 15.2 max
SKC and 203mm - too rare to scrap even though I never use so many (4 and 5 respectively)
41cm and 46cm - I keep ~dozen each for improvement fodder
Dazzle, 381mm, spare 381mmKai, 38cm - I have no idea why I keep those but I can't scrap them
Bunch of various secondary gun - I only ever use OTO and 5inch but keep a couple of each rare one because possible upgrades/quests.
Triple Oxy and 53cm - never used them
M52(601), Ju87C, Tenzan (601), T97(S) and T99(S) - they all suck but scrapping them is hard
Burger planes - ditto but those might be at least useful soon
a dozen of Zuiuns for upgrades, some (634) which never see use butmight be used in quest
A lot of T22, T33, T13K, T14 for maybe future upgrades
Million of T3 Sonars for 5-1 - not sure if I ever used all of them though.

Boilers - I scrapped almost all +10 but have 13 +13
25mm triple - useful for upgrading 25mm triple
Other AA guns - I scrapped rocket launchers once and it hurt as fuck one month later.
8 Autogyro and 7 Liason - just why
Bulges - well, I at least use two large ones on waifus. Still waiting for upgrade effects.
T91AAFD - I hate these little shits with passion, especially since one of the five is sitting at +9.
7 Skilled Lookouts - the most I used was 4 in Summer but thanks to Maruyu I doubt I will ever need more than two. Sadly they were used for upgrading something and it might repeat.
24 P2W barrels - fuck off Tanaka, those shouldn't take up space
Land Base planes - half of those will probably never see use.

Scrap 15.2; I doubt you'd be making 15.2 kais in the near future since other things like Akizuki guns have higher priority.

41cm can go; they're not that hard to get. But keep the 46cm.

Definitely scrap the T94 depth charges. And get rid of the 25mm triples asap, be it by scrapping or by upgrading 25mmCD.

For the rest, upgrade the stuff that is most screw efficient when it comes to cleaning out your inventory e.g. upgrading large bulges to +6 costs 2 screws to get rid of 1 medium bulge.

I guess you're right about 41cm, farming one Mutsu only takes around an hour. T94 have disappeared.

Meanwhile there's no defense for Bw1. It stops you dead in track if you don't fight bosses on Monday/Tuesday. And no, going for 20 carriers isn't a solution because then you'll be doing Bw6 without having Bw4 anywhere close to being unlocked. That's not how it works. Read up on what gets eyes tired and what is easily readable. You simply got used to this terrible design. Contrasting colors are only good for grabbing attention, they're awful for reading info. What's more, when everything has vivid colors, it only turns into clusterfuck because every part of the screen is fighting each other for your attention. Black on yellow on uneven dark blue is unreadable when compared to white on black or black on white.
All the circles also waste a lot of space and avatars are unneeded.

I switched from KCV to KC3 when they changed the way api links expire a while back. I can use EO any time I want to but I have botnet up 90% of the time anyways so it's useful to just play on DMM in a different tab. It obviously won't work for Bw1 which has complex conditions but when you get the modernizations weekly on android to 80% and log in with EO on your PC, it will update to show 12/15.

Which means that it's only good against slots with fewer than 0.495/0.0625 + 8 = 15.92 planes, after 1st stage ends. And that's the extreme case.

Assuming no flooring, 90mm only adds an extra 24.2246 to fleet AA, while 25mm CD gives 25.1623. I'd say that all things considered, 90mm is better.

What you forgot are two things:
-base equipment multiplier for fleet AA is much smaller than for ship AA, giving AA guns a huge advantage in ship AA and 90mm guns a much smaller advantage in fleet AA

- HA guns (multiplier 4)
- Radars (multiplier 3)

Then you've got fleet AA, which is a nice bonus that is shared among all ships in the fleet but it's not as important. The equipment relevant for that is, in order:

- Type 3 shells (muultiplier 0.6)
- AA radars (multiplier 0.4)
- HA guns and AAFD (multiplier 0.35)

Well, the issue here isn't about clearing or not clearing even easy mode. The point is how much of a hurdle it can be for a new player to get into this game and f2p model needs a constant stream of new players to get into the game and dump their money on stuff.

As the game is right now I can't really recomend anyone to start playing KanColle unless he has a hard on for statistics and gambling or really, REALLY, like the characters.

Honestly, there are better games out there to play for any niché this game appeals to:

- Moe girls and characters? Neptunia
- WWII Warships? World of Warships
- Statistics and optimization? Atelier series

the issue is that if you don't do events on hard you miss out on equipment needed to do subsequent events on hard. if you didn't get nonaka and the other good bombers from spring you were going to have a hard time with summer, which rewarded another good bomber so people who did easy got even further behind.

You kidding mate? You always get it with AS+ regardless of difficulty. You're set as long as you clear the requirement, whatever it is.

1000 fighter power on hard (requirement 762+) has the same chance as 770 fighter power on hard has the same chance as 660 fighter power on easy (651+ requirement). Which is 50%.
