Just wondering. Do university students wear clothes just like Renko and Maribel?

>> No.1635161

I suppose some rich kids do.

>> No.1635162

Sure, in the 1800's

>> No.1635168

I am a college student and I only wear t-shirts and jeans when attending lectures.

Renko has pretty normal clothes, It's just that gaijin Maribel with her superior frilly western fashion who stands out.

>> No.1635191

Maybe in some very, very, very, very old universities like Oxford it would be more fitting to put on such retro clothing.

I'd Renko's hat.

I must admit though, the idea of a girl who insists on wearing old frilly dresses and hats turns me on these days. Fuck you Touhou.

I'd Parsee's ears.

I know how you feel anon, but I've loved it far longer than I've known Touhou. Touhou just provides an excellent assortment of cute girls in frilly clothes.

Better question is, how do we fix it? I say we start small. Spam /fa/ with Touhou and, eventually, they'll see the light. Recruit /fa/ to assist with other fashion discussion boards. Slowly, we'll build a pool large enough to be considered more than a niche market. Eventually, some stupid pop-idol will catch on and wear frills to an awards ceremony, girls below the age of 14 or so will obsess over it. I suggest we call this battle plan Operation Imoutouhou.

I would also like to know why girls tend to enjoy dressing like whores instead of classy dresses.

Because they don't work as casual wear in real life. Simple dresses do though, why girls don't wear that, dunno.

I expect you bastards to start wearing these damn things if you want women to wear old fashion dresses. And I expect you to be intelligent, rich, and own big tracts of land to make the waifu happy.

Doesn't have to be something so over-the-top for casual wear, and actually- it doesn't have to be casual wear at all. If there's too much of it, eventually it'll get boring.
For casual, i'll settle for skirts, they don't have to be miniskirts either.
Hell, those fucking jeans ruined everything. I didn't see a skirt or a dress for YEARS now.

For events or anything that requires dressing up, i'd like to see something like Yukari's dress from IaMP/SWR.
That is fucking beautiful.

Suits are very nice.
Or even just dress shirts.
I don't see that often, unless it's for work.

Same goes for girls. Formal, feminine clothes are flattering, but so are casual skirts/dresses.

>> No.1636594

>>1636490
Hell, i'd wear that EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY
But if i go out like that right now, i'll get the next replies:
Idiots/rap culture faggots- Will probably try to hit me or mug me.
/jp/ lurkers or someone with good tastes and light attitude- "G'day govenna!"

Girls- "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT YOU WIERDO, WHERE HAVE YOUR EYES GONE?"

Seriously, with todays fabric, stuff like that can even be comfortable. The problem is the attitude twards the style itself.
Also, it's a cruel magic circle:
If women would stop being bitches like today, dropped most of the attitude, and started to wear stuff like that, men would have no qualms about working hard to meet their needs (In short, if something is worth working for- we WILL work for it)
But as long as the situation is what it is today, there's nothing to motivate us to do that.

Instead of wearing it everyday. Why not wear it during special events? I'm sure people will pass it off if you were to wear that when a parade or Harvest festival is going on.

Hmm, this'd actually be pretty relevant here. /cgl/ is having a nice long thread dedicated specifically to frilly dresses. I didn't do too much reading, but I didn't see any drama:
