I'm interested in reading the Fate series in the visual novel form, but i don't know the order of the series. I know the most important one is fate/zero and fate/stay night, but the other sequels/spinoffs/??? is sorta confusing.

Everything besides Zero and Stay/Night is basically just extra imo. I mean if any of the other stuff piques your interest, go for it, but it's not considered necessary reading/viewing.

I played Fate/Extra because I liked Caster.

Apocrypha's done and its, uh, well I guess some people might like it?
No mention of Grand Order.

Also, I'd say that anyone who was going to play both FSN and Tsukihime should play Tsukihime first because chronology, but that's just me.

Alternately: For fuck's sake just go ahead and watch/read in whatever damn order you want. There is no possible way you haven't heard "production order" as advice, so the fact that you're asking means you are just looking for an excuse to do something different. It won't be the end of the world if you accidentally watch a DEEN adaptation or if you don't completely understand every single nuance in Paradox Spiral.

This comes from reddit; the wiki linked in the bottom right is actually pretty comprehensive, worth reading if you're getting into fate and aren't sure where to start or how to install the vn.
