Actually, it's that Mokou's Phoenix powers were burning REALITY ITSELF.
When you're generating enough energy to create a singularity, "immortality" or any concept at all for that matter ceases to apply.
That's what a singularity is, anyway; an anomaly where nothing is impossible because reality is turned off. Gravity stops working and mass magnifies. The nuclear forces stop working and atoms become free-floating soups. Photons stops moving. Particles cease to move like waves and waves solely move like particles. Two particles occupy the same location. A particle ceases ALL movement and the Uncertainty Principle shatters. Entropy halts. Singularities fuck EVERYTHING over.
