Not even just the dialogue. It seemed forced in many aspects. The fact that they were all extremely perverted yet totally sociopathic was about as forced as it got. Not to mention the ending was straight up bizarre. The game does virtually nothing to address the girl's backstory, yet it comes to a screeching conclusion out of fucking no where.

Wadanohara might not be perfect. But it certainly felt cohesive.

Wadanohara is cute as heck. I can look back on it fondly even though it's way too long for what it is, and that 50% of the dialogue is "........... Wadanohara", and that there was no point in it even being an RPG, and that there were way too many characters without any real purpose.

Is the gray garden good? I've played wadanohara and mogeko castle and they were both pretty good but the gray garden gets a bit boring at the beginning and the gay stuff is really tumblr-ish.
Should i play it?

The tumblr-ishness only gets worse and worse towards the end. The male characters get extremely edgy too and combat is stupidly easy and repetitive. Actually, everything gets progressively more edgy with actual blood and gore as the game tries to get serious. Cheesy too. There's a couple memorable sweet/funny scenes though.

I read it when I was learning Japanese. I played through the whole thing with a dictionary open, looking up every word I didn't recognize. It took me four months.
I went through that, and I still disagree with you.
If it was any shorter, any of the fake-out endings (at the party, the bad ends, the neutral end) wouldn't work.
The characters who speak little like Fukami balance out characters like Memoka who talk all the time.
I do not think the times Wadanohara was forced to murder people would have worked as well if you didn't have any interaction.
It is a charage. Playing a charage and complaining about too many characters is like playing a nukige and complaining about too much sex.

I respect your opinion, I'm just shocked by it.

I didn't like it either. I didn't like how the only part that actually contained gameplay were trial and error chase scenes where the game spawns so many enemies it's prone to crash. There's no puzzles or creative enemy evasion/combat or anything, you just move forward and click through dialogue occasionally collecting the proscuitto that i don't think does anything? The whole story didn't make any sense either logically or metaphorically and the twist ending with the brother at the end is out of nowhere and edgy as sin.

I played this game because i liked other rpg maker games like Yume Nikki and the ones i recommended in that post. This one's limited gameplay sections are shit and the game probably would've been better off without them, and the story, characters and environment aren't interesting. The music was probably the best part of it.

Mogeko's games are fun, but their actual writing and character development skills are pure shit. Tons of characters with potential to be interesting, but get turned into nothing but kink fuel or punching bag fuel until you don't even take them seriously anymore.

I wouldn't even call the mogekos commentary on 2chan because all of their "edgy" characters act like that. Rape machines. So if they're trying to be satirical, then yeah they're doing a shit job at it.

I only stick around for the character designs because everything else about their stuff is just hilariously bad.

He has some sorta blog page where he typically posts doodles here and there, and for the last ..3 months? It's all been the same two/three characters, repeating the same scenarios over and over.

The guy has massive potential, but instead he wastes it all on stale rape "humor", and ignores his comics and games that desperately need updating or remakes. He has hundreds of characters, and only focuses on 5-6 of them, but doesn't even develop them past poorly done tropes.

It sounds like you two haven't even played the game, or you weren't paying very much attention to it. There were tons of Mogekos of all kinds and there were plenty of hilarious jokes. For every perverted Mogeko there were also Mogekos who had their own personalities.

Deep Sea Prisoner has fun (albeit not perfect) stories but 10/10 character designs, I really like his shapes and design choices (for most part at least).

The characters that appeared in the games are only a fraction of what he really made, just by looking at his designs you can feel a personality and quirk, it's so objective and yet so effective.
