I have had luck with my flight dates and might be able to attend Shotaket in Tokyo, a comiket for Shota only stuff. Yay!

Has anyone here ever been there before? Anything I should watch out for or keep in mind?

I'm so excited already!

I visited Shotaket and it was quite an interesting experience!

First of all, I was not allowed to take pictures inside and I didn't want to be disrespectful, so I cannot show many images. But I can review my experiences and give a little advise to anyone who might want to visit this event in the future.

Getting there was quite easy, as it was close to Asakusa station. Funfact: It was close to the big temple and next to an elementary school. Talk about good placement. Futaket was just two floors below, with a strange text / novelketto in between. (I wonder how these felt about thier neghbors?)

It was basicall a big room, maybe around 300m² , filled with artist tables. And shota porn everywhere. Welcome to heaven!

I'm not exactly sure when they opened, but when I arrived aroun 12.30~ / 1o'clock I seemed alreay have been quite late. Some tables were already empryand apparently sold out (I caught some of the last examples in some booths). Therefore I hurried a little, as I wanted to see as much as possible and try to miss nothing.

It was sorted trough different themes (one seemed to be south park) and it was a lot of fun strolling trough all the stuff. Some of the hardcore stuff amde me seriously blush, as it was kinda strange watching trough stuff you usually would keep in your basement publically. And as you would expect at such an event, there was quite some special and strange stuff there. No judging here, everyone has it's burden to carry. And I surely carry ma load as well.

In the end I went on a shopping spree and bought more than 60 doujinshi of all kinds. Some of the artists leaving nbetween made me kinda nervous about it. Due to that, I couldn't talk to any of the artist for a longer time, which was really a shame. There surely were quite a few, whse works I've seen before and liked, but well...

Therefore I was able to meet the main organiser of this event and get into contact with him. Nice guy! Keeping it alive for more than 10 years - and now they event make 3 events per year. Cool stuff! Maybe I can help out in the future, would be an interesting experience!

I kinda like how there were so many other shota fans, I would have loved to get to know more of them.

For next time I would definitely come earlier and try to arrange my flights accordingly. (remember, I just arrived last night so I definitely wanted to sleep in a little after being awake for 30 hours) It makes sense, that some doujins or artists were sold out already. If they epect 1000 that day and an artist brings maybe 300-500 copies (if that many at all), some of the popular ones can be sold out for sure.

cont

>> No.15940465

Funny side story: I totall wanted to get a miraculous ladybug doujin that I knew one of the artist sold there.. But I had bad luck and it was sold in futaket instead. That was the main reason I visited futaket shortly, but there it was totally sold out as well. Badly enough, the artist already left, too. (Iwas able to grasp a fe baymax doujinshi before, but I should have asked her more about the other one as well)

Quite a shame, it was so close and it's still so far - I really wanna get it after all.

Also, for the entry you had to buy a catalogue, which has a really cute cover.

I really bought way too much stuff, but then again I like supporting the artists and this was such a rare occasion, that I don't mind it. I would to come again once.

The next one will be held in february - this time was even the 30th time it happened. Quite amazing if you ask me!

If you have any further questions, I will be happy to assist.

And yes I did. A whole artist all about kagamine Len feet porn, and some hardcore SM stuff, which I acutally bought. Not that I'm totally into it, but the ideas in some of the books were pretty wicked. If it hits me ad I might actually develop new fetishes trough that. (I hope I don't though). Also there were many comics about "fat shotas", as well as some very unique art styles, A lot of crossdressing (yay), bit of furry stuff, some artists were all about strangling and surpressed hero stuff. Oh and of course the infamous tentacles were quite popular.

Also there seems to be a new shota anime coming out. It looks cute. The name is Boys Delivery or so.

there was straight shota, too.

I have visited Comic Spark today as well. Surprisingly it seemed to have been an all female comic event. The audience was 95% femal, being a boy and a foreigner that seemed to have been quite a rare sight there.

They even changed te men'S toilets to girly ones, which makes ligistically sense - but is highly inconveniant if you need to take a piss.

And gosh this was way way bigger than I expected. It felt like Comiket. I can imagine., that they scrathced the 100.000 people mark today, almost all of them were girls.

And mostly boys love stuff, a huge amount of osomatsu san, free, haikyuu, tokuen ranbu and many many special interests. Sadly, I didn't get the oujinshi I was looking for today neither, but I will try to order it online while still being in Japan.

I got a lot of cute other stuff there though.

Sometimes the artists "warned me", that the stuff was "ecchi" inside, which was really cute. Especially when the ouside was already obvious.

I don't know if I came at a lucky time or if this country is really full of comic conventions. I saw flyers for many special event dates - even another one in Osaka while I'm still there.

But again some left early. Even thogh the event was supposed to run untill 3 o'clock half of the tables were empty at 2 o'clock. Very strange to see.

Picture related, an over view over one of the halls. (there were 2 with 3 partitions each)
