I went to an English Church in Japan today.

When I walked into the church, I felt like I was in America or somewhere in foreign country. It was surprising to find such high percentage of foreigners in that church. I have never seen such place in Japan.

I attended "a class for new comers and visiters". A pastor came in the classroom and taught us. I saw him once at Sunday worship. He looked very noble and respectable, so I was happy to know he is the teacher in the class.

He taught us about the expectations of the god. worship, prayer, fellowship, and so on. I liked his lesson and sometimes I was really moved by his messages.

He also told us about buptism very briefly.

He recommended me to take "preparing for buptism" lessons as I have never been buptised before. I have not decided yed if I will be baptised and become a Christian though, anyway so I think I will take that lessons.

At the last of the lesson I asked the pastor "Can I join the worship before I am baptised?" and then, everyone laughed at me! I haven't been any Christian Church before and I really didn't know anything. I just comfirmed it trying to be polite and respectful. But, oh well, everyone knows that and they thought it is a "common knowledge". I was embarrassed... X(

But well, what is done is done! I shall think it was a good day which I could learn a lot.

wow, thanks! Alex already corrected my 1st diary. It was so quick! This is a wonderful system and I think I like it.

Only a matter is I have to get to know how to use this site well as I am a complete beginner and I have no idea what to do but write a diary!

Well, I am very excited to get started this Lang-8 and found my first friend in here, but I guess I have to go to bed right now as it is 1:30 am here in Japan.

Tomorrow I am planning to go to an English Chirch. I couldn't sleep still now as I am a little bit nervous about going there. It is for English speaker but I am not. I am not Christian, neither. But I want to learn about that religion in there.

The reasons are;
1. I am very interested in learning Christian Bible
2. I don't like Japanese translation of Christian Bible

I think Japan is not matured enough about leaning Christian. I don't think there are enough good Japanese Christian Chirch around here. Some of them are even ... something strange and make me feel scared.

But this English Chirch looks clean and good. So I want to go there and learn. But I just wonder if I am appropriate for there.

I went to a christian school with a strong cultural exchange program with many japanese schools. Their attempts to evangelize in this program were pretty lol, if you ever go to a shinto shrine on Tanabata and see pieces of paper hanging up saying "I hope japan comes to know jesus" I know who writes those.

What kind of faggoty-ass church makes you get baptised first? My church doesn't require you to get baptized, even if you are in choir or getting communion. The whole purpose of church is to chill as a group with religion, not make a secret handshake club.
