Why are fox youkai so underused in Touhou?

The only one that appears recently is a fake and a slave.

Forgetting Mystia, Tokiko(for all the relevance she has), also Hatate like a previous poster said. Does Sagume count? Not sure what she actually is, but she has that strange wing.

Mokou could metaphorically be a bird due to the whole phoenix thing, but she doesn't bear any physical similarities.

Also doesn't Kanako count as fox or whatever?

Marisa fox needs a name.
She also needs to meet Marisa while sober, honestly that kitsune is insanely cute, maybe it's because she's mischievous but not evil. But I cant help but love her, and unlike many touhous it's not in a sexual way. Marisa is cute and I would marry her, but Marisa fox is more for hugging, petting, feeding and brushing her tail. Maybe it's just because I love animals and beast youkai are effectively talking animals to me.
Reisen for example is pretty human, not beastlike in how she acts. That doesnt mean I dont want to pick her up(consenting or not), hug her, pet her head and feed her carrots. The onky downside is her size, Tewi size is easier to move and fit in your arms.

I get the feeling beast youkai would hate me for being patronizing and having no concept of personal space with them. Aya may avoid this fate if she has no wings, but not even the dignified Ran Yakumo is spared. Allthough Ran would enjoy it given Yukari's treatment of her.
