I had seen this image posted a million times before but I never understood it.

Shitty visual novel is shitty.

Out of all the ones I've read, this is the only one that I didn't really enjoy.

And there's nothing ;_; worthy in this game.

Kouhei's disappearing is just a lame plot device to create a parting. Even the devs admit it.

The only thing worthwhile in ONE is Kouhei's and Nanase's interactions.

Yeah it's been pretty average so far, though that might be because I've played some really bottom of the barrel stuff. I liked Nanase, and Misaki grew on me as I was going through her route.

But the plot device reminds me of Wind, where it's kind of like "Hey everything's perfectly normal and suddenly WHAT THE FUCK pretty much out of nowhere".

Though Wind's was a bit worse, none the less.

I did think him disappearing in Misaki's route was depressing as fuck, though.

I never cared about Misaki one way or another.

The only route that sparked any emotion in me was Nagamori's route, and that was pure RAGE. The douche and the doormat. Fuck you both.

He lost his parents in a fire, created his own world, he fought many fights and had a cheschire cat helping him.

Then he fought his internal demon that was himself and he realized:
He's the one who created that fire in the first place.

No no, it was his cat.

You should try Wind sometime if you're ever bored and feel like going "what". The plot device in that VN is completely ridiculous.

>But the plot device reminds me of Wind, where it's kind of like "Hey everything's perfectly normal and suddenly WHAT THE FUCK pretty much out of nowhere".

And this, my friends, is the reason why we should never let low attention span faggots play KEY games, they can't follow for shit.

Go back to your FSN, because it seems you can only understand the story when everything is explained to you in five hours straight of text.

>> No.1588729

>>1588700

I really wanted to like Wind, but even I know it's horribly average at best and with poor pacing.

>> No.1588733

>>1588727
I understood it fine, and I realize half the point is the fact that it's never completely explained right to your face all at once.

That doesn't mean all people will like it, though.

Mind you, once again, I think the game is fine. I wouldn't rate it as one of my favorites, but I don't regret playing it. I'm not the guy bashing on it.

Also amusingly I've never played FSN.

>> No.1588737

You just have to finish at least one single heroine to understand what's going on. Feed me with more baseless conjecture, please.

As much as I'm sure this will make our tripfriend Furukawa Akio rage, I played Tsukihime and I enjoyed it, so I'm thinking about giving FSN a go soon enough.

I still need to finish Kagetsu Tohya though, and lately I've been playing more mellow school day romance type VNs.

>> No.1588766

>>1588760
You need to calm down good sir.

I haven't finished every route yet, only 3, and once again I'm not bashing on the game. I think it's fine. I'm enjoying it, even. As a matter of fact, I haven't completed the route that I'd think has the most info about the storyline (Though I could be wrong about that) so perhaps I was preemptive on saying anything.

I honestly just made this topic because that picture finally made sense and was depressing, and when someone posted their feelings on it, I replied in turn about mine. Perhaps I should of waited until I had the VN completely finished, though.

Type-Moon games suits low attention span kids perfectly.

You should play FSN. You'll love it.

>> No.1588789

>>1588772
Yesyes I'm sure.

I still don't understand why you're so pissed. I hadn't been confused on any of the storyline, I just thought it was rather sudden, even with the trips to the other world at points.

I'm still not, nor did I ever, bash the game for it. It was a simple opinion, and I still didn't really fault the game for it. So I really don't see why you're taking this all so personally. But if you want to rage at something for no reason, be my guest.

I played ONE, Wind and all Type-moon games and enjoyed all of the immensely.

Guys, trolling in normal threads is the cancer that killed /jp/ and made it like /a/ or /b/ only about touhou and english translated VN's.

You guys should be more like the Japanese board counterpart if you are really wapanese and forget about your nationality.

Ideal situation:

Anon: I like A - sweet heart forever gaem.
Anon: I like it too. X is a great heroine, and is my newly wed waifu.

Yeah, I really don't understand why he's getting so pissed off.

I already stated several times that I'm enjoying the game, I just thought the plot device was too sudden. Hell, I didn't even say I disliked the plot device (I actually enjoy the plot, the disappearance in Misaki's route really pulled at my heart strings), I just thought it was too sudden. Perhaps comparing it to Wind was a bad choice of words, since the plot device in Wind really seemed to come out of nowhere and wasn't paced well.. But that's just what it reminded me of. Hell, I didn't even hate Wind for it, so why would I hate ONE for it?

Actually, I remember only bad memories from kindergarten.

Like the one we beat up some poor fellow in turns while we sat on our chairs in a circle.

Or the one where I played my friends.

But then I had a memory loss.

Next time I got to myself I was under a bench, crying, my hands and my friends face in blood, injured and crying.

Or the time a girl showed me her pussy and I showed her my dick.

Right now she's my neighbor and she became a fucking slut.

So nearly 10,000 lines of text with concepts and interactions that all of you fuckers still can't agree on, if for stuff the VN spoonfeeds you, is what /jp/ suggests for low attention span, since they won't be able to follow the much more 'deeper' concepts of Key VNs?
