Who actually funds and creates these types of anime? Let's not get into it if it's good or bad (I enjoyed it a bit) but why do studios actually create these types of anime? It seems to me like a guaranteed financial disaster to finance something like this, so I can't imagine that it's actually the studio putting in the funding for it and expecting returns. Is it the manga artist that wants to boost sales, but I don't think manga artist have enough money to finance an anime.

I mean it's obviously just propaganda shouting "Hey, kids are awesome you should totally have one!" at the audience. Is it funded by the government? I don't think the government would fund anime studios to create pro baby propaganda.

Another question, who watches these types of shows in Japan? Teenage boys, young adults, women?

I just think it's quite the inefficient way of pro baby propaganda and don't think that the government would go for something like that but I don't know.

The publishers of their source material and record companies who can throw their various artists at the OP and ED songs.

Pretty sure that it's a good promo for the ongoing manga.

I hear the "advertisement for manga" argument a lot but it still seems like an awful move financial wise.

And I'm sure manga writers/drawers aren't even half rich enough to finance anime (sources say it costs around 200k usd for an episode) and even if spending a few millions to advertise a manga sounds dumb as well.

It would not be such a bad move for the government, Japanese are getting old and age balance will be really bad, they really need more babies and kawaii children could awake parenting instinct for youngs of both sexes. Anime may hit the good target demographic for future parents

No wait, what I actually meant is: OP, the thought that anime adaptations are financed by manga publisher and other companies never crossed your mind?
