The character with the worst misrepresentation is Sagume by far IMO. Canonically, she is a good schemer who uses her power meaningfully for her and her people's need disregarding everything else. Fanon can't even get her power right (even though it's pretty hard to understand to be honest)

Now to be fair, she also had some regard for Gensokyo and its denizens' lives. She stalled for several months (annoying Doremy) after Junko's invasion began, and when she does send troops down to Gensokyo, it's under a trivial pretext, and only in order to catch Eirin's attention. She also acts amicably toward the heroines, including the "traitor" Reisen, only testing out their combat ability before calling pretend-hostilities off and sending them on their way. All in all, for a Lunarian, Sagume is pretty friendly. Maybe cause she's half a divine spirit or something.

They literally spent thousands of years doing nothing but killing each other. I don't see how it's not accurate to call them rivals. In later works like BAiJR and Inaba they're more amicable because you can be rivals but when you're both stuck in the same situation (the only other immortal is Eirin who has existed for much longer and is more of an authority figure) and have to interact for eons obviously the hate will dull a bit.

Tewi is probably the worst from IN because half of it is le prankster troll xD and half of it is "i want to eat Tewi's marshmallow butthole". I still like her though.

With Miko her fans annoy me for a number of reasons, the first being because Byakuren is not a perfect character they often seem to think it makes Miko some kind of perfect paragon and don't hesitate to let you know. Miko is the TRUE leader! She will save all humans! Miko doesn't give a shit about passing on her techniques or beliefs, she cares about immortality and treats her followers as servants. Byakuren obviously has many faults, that doesn't mean I want to hear about how great Miko is. I think both of them have bad fanbases, if you feel the need to compare (which Miko fans always seem to do) then yes Miko fans have a better grasp of her character than Byakuren fans.

She is a full saint and is polite. Definitely a good person. But her fans are very self-righteous.

Nobody says that, because that is factually wrong. Miko has in fact already offered her leadership to the Human Village, but was shot down by Kanako. Of course, not being a blundering fucking idiot (unlike another religious figure), Miko understood the situation and rescinded the offer, limiting herself to "worthy" disciples. Of which there were many willing, but very few up to her rigorous standards. It's still a kind of help for humans in Gensokyo, and entirely legal at that. That's how clever Miko is, and she deserves recognition for it.
