Honestly, the lyrics can be incredible depending on the song. The rapper, MC Ride, is playing a character when he's like that, so it gets a free pass for me. Check these lyrics, for example, which are more indiciative of Stefan Burnett the person:

It's like the difference between Baroque and Jazz music. They're so incredibly different in form and delivery that the "intellectuals" of the 1910's immediately dismissed Jazz as "low" and "unrefined." The way the ideas are conveyed are unique; it takes getting used to, but once you get used to it, it's like a new frontier of music opens up to you. Death Grips, and great experimental bands in general, are the next step in that process.
