Hey, /jp/. I know some of you moonspeakers/Atlas users played Saya no Uta already. Would you be so kind to tell us what's going on in this story and what is it's true end?

Fuminori Sakisaka has a traffic accident which kills his parents and leaves him heavily injured. When he has a brain surgery to save his life, his perception of the world changes: everything he sees becomes blood, people's looks and voices seem like monsters, and food that normally appeals to him tastes disgusting.

As he contemplates suicide in the hospital, Fuminori meets a beautiful girl among the flesh-covered walls. She introduces herself as Saya, and is apparently looking for her father. Fuminori does not want to be separated from Saya, and asks her to live with him. She agrees.

However, while to Fuminori, Saya appears as a normal girl when everything else in his point of view is flesh and guts, normal people see it differently — just as he sees normal things as flesh and blood, Fuminori sees actual flesh and blood as normal. Saya is actually an intelligent monster, though what she actually looks like is never revealed (the only revelations are that she is covered in slime and has large tentacles). Her favorite food is human flesh, and her hobby is modifying brains and human bodies. However, as Fuminori genuinely loves Saya, Saya does not kill much for his sake.

The truth is revealed when Fuminori comes home to see Saya eating the slime-covered corpse of a girl he knows, which appears as a yellow-green jelly-like thing in Fuminori's eyes. When he tries it, he actually finds the human flesh delicious due to his twisted senses.

There are three endings to the visual novel, depending on the choices that the player makes:

1. Saya helps Fuminori return to normal, and leaves him since she does not want to reveal her true hideous self. Fuminori becomes confined in a psychiatric hospital for the rest of his life.
2. Saya is killed by Koji, one of Fuminori's friends. Fuminori commits suicide upon Saya's death, and Koji turns crazy.
3. Saya and Fuminori kill Koji together. Afterwards, it turns out that Saya has reached the last stage and ultimate goal of her life: reproduction. The spore-like matter she releases is a mutating agent aimed at humans, created by researching the human genome obtained during sex with Fuminori. The "spore" is spread across the globe by updrafts, slowly turning the entire human population into Saya-like creatures.

3 is as close as it gets and if you ask me while it's not the good end for the world it's the good end for Saya and Fuminori.

It is a shame that summary doesn't even mention the second most awesome character in the game, yeah.

Although I guess this summary means not everybody has had every last bit of the game spoiled, so there would be some point left in translating it.

Phoenix - Resurrection
(復活編 fukkatsu-hen) The sixth volume, originally serialized in 1970-1971. The story takes place in 2482-3344 AD. In an age of robotics, technology and science, young Leon dies in a car accident. He is returned to life by scientific surgery, but his now mostly-artificial brain makes him see living things -- including humans -- as distorted clay figures, while he sees machines and robots as beauties. Leon falls in love with a worker robot,

Chihiro, whom he sees as a beautiful girl, and will fight for this forbidden love. He will also find out the secret behind his accident. A side plot features the robot Robita, who previously appeared in Future.
