I am half Japanese and live in Tokyo and love America, the imagery of it anyway. It is why I browse 4chan desu. I wanna go to usa some day and eat a lot of different southern food. It is kinda appealing to me how loud and individual people desperately want to be, and I like American movies.

Horikoshi Kohei loves Star Wars, you can see some story elements of it in Hero Academia. Hell, All-Might's whole schtick is being a Western superhero expy.

I can guarantee you wouldn't find it so appealing if you lived with those people, individualism sure, but holy shit the loudness standard is fucking annoying.

Living stateside now, I've got to say that there are good and bad points to living in any part of the world. The news talks flamboyantly about incidents of violence and corrupt politics, and there are points of delicacy that are lost on the common person. I certainly wouldn't say they put in much care for appearances here- in the cleanliness of their big-name cities, or in reservation of their personal issues. Despite all that though Americans seem to have an unsaid loyalty to each other, as if it is second nature to be concerned for a neighbor's well being and business. As much as they feud (and they are not shy to do so) they all seem to claim a deep love for the place they are from.

Recently, Japan agreed to certain policies concerning Muslim citizenship that would never fly here. Despite the dangerous atmosphere they value their 'melting pot' origins quite a bit. I'm convinced that this country is filled with many different ideals on what it wants to be but lacks direction and unity on how to go about it. Particularly, the government meant to represent all voices has folded down into two feuding groups more concerned with election than the well being of their populace. This is very different from the peace-loving home I grew up in.

I want to believe in the US, that for all its flaws it is still acting in ways it believes are best for the rest of the world. Japan's 127 million all grew up hearing similar ideas, whereas the US's 318 million have been rooted very differently. Everyone's shouting to get their point across here, which is why I think it's such a loud place.

Disney mostly, it´s very big in japan.

Also, japanese people love western celebrities because they like gaijins better.

I disagree. There's no loyalty or love, and also no care for your neighbor.
People exist to commute from the suburbs to work, and from work back to the suburbs, where they fall asleep with the TV on, and when awoken claim they never were asleep at all.

Is Kojima really a Westaboo? I thought he was just a futurist with an interest in cyborgs and politics. I've played my fair share of MGS and that was the impression I got anyways.
