Some parts of the OP are pretty redundant. I get the consistency argument, but a separate line with "Wikipedia:" above a Wikipedia link is hardly necessary.

Additionally I think it would be better to have URLs and explanations on the same line, and instead leave some white-space. Less redundancy, higher readability.

If not that, at least group things properly. Denpa no Sekai and takeshi0406's blogs could both be under "Blogs:", and the denpa and denpunk bots both be under "Twitter bots:" or something.

Funta mainly work as songwriters for other people and that's why they haven't released a lot of albums themselvs. The tracks that >>15643431 posted + Funtastic is about it.

However, they have released a lot of albums with eroge soundtracks, mostly for the company GWAVE. Since they do not want this associated with the Funta brand they are all released under Yuukos nickname U. A lot of these albums are available on RTL, look for GWAVE and U.

Sadly, I don't naturally find myself listening past the first track of the Confetto demo, so now I am having to force it. I have become this much of a fanboy, I guess. Toromi's got so much sensuality and soul going for her, and the music in this CD is pretty sparkly, maybe a little more nuanced and definitely more interesting than the last. However, this Confetto packs a lot of power in being upbeat and flashy with all those punchy sounds. I can see how it grabs people's attention. It just feels like a sonic beating to the skull for me.

Different people see different things when you use simile, metaphor or other similar things, it's why people who analyze poetry and other art come to different conclusions as to what the creator of the art meant. Just because one person's interpretation makes no sense to you doesn't mean it doesn't make sense to them and doesn't make it any less of a valid interpretation. I wrote that to offer my opinion on something someone posted, and yes in my mind if listening to Toromi is like drinking wine then ARM is like being blasted in the face with top-notch scotch. Toromi's music generally feels a lot more laid back to me whereas ARM's is generally hyperactive, over the top and in your face, The scotch bit is because water would suggest it was somehow not as good as the wine. Also I never said there was anything wrong with them posting it, something like that is much better in my eyes than most of the bickering that goes on in this thread.

Yeah, those prices are intl shipping included, and while they take excellent care in packaging the items (vinyl wrappers, protective cardboard, bubble wrap, high quality tape - I was really impressed) it does seem high. But I've also noticed similar rates from other proxies, once shipping gets tacked on. So, I don't know if they're such a rip off. I just know that you will pay the listed price for each item, no matter how many items combined in your shipment. And I digress... I don't know if any proxies will combine stuff for a discounted shipping rate (for instance, if multiple items come from the same seller). It gets confusing to me. I've only used these proxies a couple times, once with buysmartjapan with multiple items being sourced from different sellers and a separate shipping charge that is applied to each item is seemingly ultimately unaffected by the final bulk shipment.

You have it quite wrong, this is a sample pack for making music that Choko and A-tan made with various shouts, counting, interjections etc. It is mostly suited for electronic/EDM stuff. It also contains some demo songs using the sample pack.

You might be thinking of an older CD with various voice actors saying "Oniichan" with various themes/settings.

I used to live on the east coast and I would go, but I'm in Japan so I can't. I recommend you do it like Japanese denpa DJ events. DJs play short versions of songs (usually just the last track of their set is a full version.) Listeners can just listen or cheer or dance. It is all people who get denpa music, so there's no need to be shy. And it's not very hard to learn to be a DJ. (Basic DJing is very easy. Advanced stuff is difficult but not necessary for a denpa event.) I can post some basic advice if you want.

There is no broader interpretation or inclusive approach. A music ain't denpa the moment the composer makes it, it's denpa the moment the Otaku crowd recognizes it as denpa, because it clicks with then and their ideals.

This is precisely why so many people are annoyed at doujin circles making moepop and labelling it as denpa. Your case is even worse because you think atonal music, because it sounds strange and unique, is denpa when it clearly bypasses the people who denpa music is truly directed to.

Look, you've got plenty of material in the OP to listen to, a bunch of guys here who have been listening and following the evolution of denpa since a long time ago and/or have researched on the subject on their own. You can ask, learn and understand, I'll gladly recomend you albums and I'm sure others will, but please don't label the music of that video as denpa, it really makes no sense.

Basically, back when denpa music was just beginning to form, the comunity of fans of denpa music in Futaba (or 2chan, don't remember now), compiled a list of songs that were representative to the formation of what we call denpa music: Reasons from inclusion ranged from music/songs that were milestones in the formation of japanese electronic music, to music inspired from internet memes, with, of course, music from anime and eroges.

Well, even if I have tried researching this stuff I don't have any kind of special preferences in terms of denpa music. I basically enjoy most of what gets posted here. I do get specially excited by new Toromi, Katahotori, Haru＊Ama＊Nya, MOSAIC.WAV, t-pazolite, PinochioP, 33. turbo, Yunomi. Nanahira and Momobako are allways a lottery.

Hi, and thanks for the upload. It was rather an uninteresting listen for me. The songs are dull, with each part just going into the next with no imaginative "glue" or evidence of any great inspiration from the outset. Unique elements such as the splashes of sitar in track 2, or the swing jazz sections in track 4 just end up being a disconcerting attempt to break out of the mold, without the benefit of having a good creative foundation on which to build. That SHAKING PINK track has so many different things haphazardly thrown in and glazed over top of it, I actually laughed at one point because it sounded like a spring had popped loose, and I thought maybe the whole thing was going to collapse before my very ears and actually turn into a song with a point worth listening to. For the sake of being a good moepop album for the masses, it does fall squarely into the laps of those who aren't looking to embrace much unique flair or any deeply genuine (human) "strangeness" in their denpa-related music, and to that respect I have to give it its due.

"Akibahara" generally has to do with the fact that "Akiba" is both the current slang abbreviation for the place and the actual origin of the name. The district originated from "Akiba shrine" and had its pronunciation normalized some time over the years from "Akibahara" to "Akihabara."

There's barely any English in the song at all, except for "forever" and some things that remain in Roman characters or English in Japanese anyway, like "WiFi" or "ROM NDK." The rest is all slang and memes.

Not sure what you're seeing in that tweet, unless maybe you're noticing "東西" by itself. 古今東西 together means "all time, everywhere." You might say it means something like "a denpa song about all things Internet" in this case, although I'm not a great translator.

The entire thing is written in Internet slang, so it's would be hard for any of us to get completely without frequenting Japanese communities like 2ch and NND. I get a lot of it but a couple of the phrases there are nonsense without looking them up.
