There is a reason I will an hero by 60, and it's because I dont want to be old. Humanity is shit, it means being limited. Alice is just like a human, only stronger due to not wasting time sleeping or eating, she can if she wishes. No worries about age, and potential god tier regeneration. If you include Ran and Yukari's intelligence, then I would say youkai shit all over humans. Hermits, magicians, gods, everything is better than humans. Excluding hourai beings who I pity. Totally fucked after heat death of the universe.

Humanity is charming, though. Sure, you could become a youkai, but then you'll no longer be human. You'll slowly lose your connection to your humanity, until you become little more than a monster. You don't really want to end up like Yukari, do you? Disconnected from your own kind, transformed into an inhuman being via magic, something unnatural and cruel.

If I did want to avoid aging with Marisa, I would rather the two of us go down the hermit route.
