Actually most voice actors dont like anime haha. They do it for the little money it pays, but more so for their resume for their acting careers and such.

Voice actors make a pittance, and it's nigh always a side thing to their real job or something they take time out to do. Most (in Texas, anyway) are guys that normally do stage or stand-up, are in college and get selected to do it on a lark, or become involved through some friend in the business. Also a lot of resume padding as mentioned earlier.

Even if you're a known commodity in the biz it's far from being lucrative.

I know a guy who used to work for an apartment complex, doing some easy ground work, mostly paperwork shit.

He was out at the mailbox one day and this lady comes up with an Asuka thing on her purse and he goes, "Oh, you like Eva." "I was Asuka." and he just thinks she's fucking crazy.

Turns out it was Tiffany Grant. They wound up hanging out. She says she's a huge nerd but a really nice lady.
