-The Android port has been implemented. The 250k lottery winners will be able to access it. In commemoration of this, Shiratsuyu has received a mobile phone seasonal sprite.
-100 new and returning Rainy Season lines have been implemented, along with new seasonal sprites for Hayashimo, Kiyoshimo, Akebono, Yuudachi Kai 2, Mizuho, Yuubari, Mogami, Chitose and Chiyoda, as well as returning sprites, and new and returning furniture.
-Shouhou's and Takanami's sprites on their Kai cards have been fixed.
-Quests have now been split into "Daily", "Weekly", "Monthly", "Once" and "Others" sections. There is also a section to view only active quests. You can still view all quests at a glance in the "All" section.
-Asashio will get her Kai 2 next maintenance.

We have to clear up thee northern waters of abyssals every week. We also have to deal every event with something nasty coming from or at the Polynesia. I can only guess the middle route, with less islands (abyssal bases) in the way will be easier to defend once Hawaii had been neutralized.

Abyssals can come from anywhere beneath the sea. The reason Hawaii is such a pain for humans to retake is because you have to sail through so much defenseless ocean to get to it. No civilian traffic will be going through that route for quite a while.

With ASW formation (line abreast) any ASW capable ship should be able to one shot it. If you don't have ASW gear I would probably suggest 1CL3DD+ with CL as flag always getting MVP (you can ignore DD morale). Once you get a DC+Sonar one DD alone should be enough to take out the sub in the first node. You can only do this up until HQ lvl. 80 where the first node sub changes into a harder version.

Could they possible be decent CAs for the main fleet in suijou? Their torp stat is rather poor compared to other CAs you could put in the escort fleet, and thus you also don't lose much by putting them in the main fleet. They could also provide extra AS if you need it.


Granted, another BB would probably be a better option than putting Zara or Pola in the main fleet. Yamato, Nagato, Fusou, Ise, and the Eye-tie class BBs can take seaplane fighters too, and they provide much more firepower than the two CAs.

Fast forward to Spring E-7 Hard, and everyone with upgraded equipment did exactly what they were supposed to do. Even Kamo landed a crit.

It was also a glorious feeling, but one brought about by the culmination of more than a year's hard work, not luck.

Also, Teru killed the Ancient DD hime afterwards for an S-rank.

That's not the point. If Hayasui gets to the boss node safely she's the most powerful asset you can have. However if she's damaged she's only a dead weight meaning you can easily end up with a C rank. I have over 150 runs of Mizuho+2CL+3DD runs under by belt and I have never lost at the boss. I switched 1DD with Hayasui and I C ranked thrice within a month. The rate of reaching the boss was also lower with Hayasui and I found myself using buckets to do the weekly when all those months before I always did it without buckets.

You should be modernizing ships at all times. At the start all your ships need modernization so focus on the ones who reached Kai and/or are used often. Armor is the most important and it's good to modernize even unremodeled ships.
You can do 2-4-A to gain some exp and modernization fodder safely. I remember spamming it until my main few ships were Kai and somewhat modernized.

Yeah, probably 80% of my ships are destroyers, so I don't have a ton of heavy equipment sitting around. It hasn't really been something even on my radar aside from getting very specific things like Sonar/DCs for 1-5 clearing. It's not that I have something against her, rather I like other CAs more. Getting her to Kai Ni wasn't the best of experiences due to her exploding quite often compared to other CAs and while Kai Ni boosted her cuteness considerably, she didn't leave a big impression. Her forehead+bangs bother me, I'm not a fan of this look, same with Kawakaze (but Kawakaze had exceptional voice, character and smug to more than make up for it). The fact she keeps popping up whenever I want other drops doesn't exactly help but this is a minor issue.

My entire point is that using Hayasui kills your success rate. Both retreats AND boss kills. Having done 3-5 weekly since September I can tell when my composition is efficient and whne it's not.

The most dangerous thing is Hayasui getting her planes shot down or her getting chuuha. This is more likely than you think. Having Hayasui as a flag is very bad idea towards Yasen. Giving the enemy the initiative for Yasen easily leads into all your ships falling like domino blocks leading into a C rank

2CL (ABKM+ Any), 3DD (Prefer high FP, add ducky for last dance), Mizuho

It's nothing near as flashy and big numbers as Hayasui comp but it has overall higher success rate. Probably around 5~10% higher for the sortie to lead in at least B rank. Even if everything fails during the day combat I'll still have a howitzer as a flagship that I can know to take out an enemy to start off Yasen giving my side the initiative.

However looking back that if your ships are at average of level 60 and you don't have ducky guns, upgraded gear and all that you might have higher success with Hayasui comp. However in that case you're better off doing the weekly at 3-3. I'm not interesting in talking about what's the best comp when you don't have the gear and levels though so I can forfeit the discussion if you prefer it that way

That was my original thought as well. Eventually what I found was that even for B node I would rather see an extra enemy torpedo coming my way than risk flagship protection failing. The absolute worst was pre-boss node with Hayasui vs without Hayasui. Suddenly what was supposed to be a free node had me praying nothing would go Hayasui's way. I thought about using Diamond formation but that kills your opening torps and is not worth it even if you could reliably kill Nu's planes

-Additional Mutsuki-class ship(s) to be implemented this summer.
-100 new and returning Rainy Season lines have been implemented, along with new seasonal sprites for Hayashimo, Kiyoshimo, Akebono, Yuudachi Kai 2, Mizuho, Yuubari, Mogami, Chitose and Chiyoda, as well as returning sprites, and new and returning furniture.
