I get nervous whenever someone asks for my email address or screenname, even if I don't know them in real life. Even though there's no face-to-face or anything, there's still another person sitting at the other computer. I don't hate instant messaging more than I hate telephones, but I've completely stopped using all messaging programs now. I think as I got older, I became more nervous around people, even on the internet.
