I think her horns possibly got cut off as punishment by humans at some point after losing her arm. It wasn't intentional, but she took advantage by using that to blend in.

IIRC the last time things with Kasen got serious/we got another piece of the puzzle or an insight into her real self was in chapter 24 with the lightning dragon. Though ULiL probably counts as the latest.
